    Transport and Customs Supervisor

    Accountabiltiies / Responsibilties (non-exhaustive list)

    • Organize and follow up all customs clearance processes for air, sea, and road shipments
    • Act as focal point with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure timely release of goods
    • Liaise with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, and other relevant authorities for duty exemptions and import licenses.
    • Ensure registration and submission on the Single Window Trade Portal.
    • Prepare and follow up Import Duty Exemption Certificates (IDEC), SONCAP, and End User Certificates (EUC).
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian customs regulations and MSF procedures.
    • Plan and coordinate international and local transport according to cargo priority and operational needs.
    • Receive international cargo and organize local shipments in collaboration with logistics and medical teams.
    • Monitor and track shipments and resolve clearance or transport issues.
    • Conduct transport market assessments and support tendering and contracting processes
    • Prepare transport contracts and manage cargo bookings, including MSF flights.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with customs authorities, government counterparts, transporters, and suppliers.
    • Identify and maintain backup clearing and transport companies
    • Provide accurate customs and transport data for monthly reporting
    • Contribute to cost analysis and budget follow‑up (ARO, freight and customs costs)
    • Identify legal opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
    • Supervise staff and daily workers under responsibility
    • Organize work schedules and ensure quality of work,

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Education: Essential Technical Diploma, in Supply Chain or Transport.
    • Experience: At least 2 to 3 years in Supply department and experience in the importation process of Nigeria is essential.
    • Language: English
    • Computer Literacy: Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Internet, etc)
    • Competencies: Result Orientation, Stress Management, Behavioral Flexibility and commitment to MSF Principles, Teamwork, and Cooperation

    Waste Area Technician

    Main Purpose

    • Performing autonomously, specific complex / advanced installation, maintenance works and repairs depending on the technician’s specialization (requiring special/qualifications/training), according to the supervisor’s instructions and MSF standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper functioning and maintenance of MSF equipment, installations and infrastructures.

    Accountabilities

    • Ensure the safe reception, segregation, handling, and disposal of waste in accordance with MSF waste management protocols.
    • Carry out first‑level repairs, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of waste‑area infrastructure, equipment, and tools.
    • Maintain the safety and functionality of waste‑area facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Monitor and manage tools, equipment, and consumables in the waste area, including stock control, stock cards, and regular inventories to avoid shortages.
    • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during waste‑handling activities.
    • Keep the waste area and workspaces clean, organized, and secure at all times.
    • Complete and maintain accurate records, logbooks, and reports related to waste management, maintenance, and incidents.
    • Immediately report any incidents, damages, losses, safety risks, or irregularities to the line manager.
    • Work in close collaboration with WATSAN, logistics, and other technical staff, and support or supervise workers when required.
    • Monitor waste‑management activities and supplies to ensure continuous, safe operations within the project.

    Requirements
    Education

    • Essential: High School or technical certificate.

    Experience

    • Essential: Previous Position with follow-up and application of procedures
    • Desirable: Experience in waste management.

    Knowledge
    Competencies:

    • Essential: project working language (English), Desirable: Hausa
    • Computer skills and repair skills (manual skills, thoroughness, method) are desirable
    • Commitment to MSF Principles L1

    Community Health Educator

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver health education and awareness sessions on hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and available health services to patients, caregivers, and communities.
    • Ensure patients, caregivers, blood donors, and visitors are properly oriented on CEmONC services, hospital regulations, patient rights, and safeguarding information.
    • Conduct regular monitoring of community health and living conditions, including nutritional screening, vaccination follow‑up, population movement, and identification of medical or social risks.
    • Identify individuals with medical needs and coordinate timely referrals with the medical team, reporting issues to the line manager as required.
    • Provide targeted health education messages across CEmONC units (ANC, PNC, wards, laboratory waiting areas), aligned with medical objectives.
    • Collect patient and caregiver feedback and report gaps related to hygiene facilities, water, sanitation, and patient experience.
    • Support patient experience activities, including surveys, exit interviews, IPC awareness, and compliance messaging.
    • Liaise with medical teams to support patients and caregivers with consent processes, communication, blood donation/replacement, and culturally appropriate practices.
    • Ensure culturally appropriate tools and local languages are used for effective communication and health education.
    • Collect, compile, and report daily data and indicators to the HPCE Supervisor.
    • Support food demonstrations and provide basic nutrition education for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers.

    Data Protection Advisor

    Scope of Responsibilties and Accountabiltiies
    The Data Protection Advisor is expected to work on the following actions, in collaboration with the relevant Data Protection Officer and under the responsibility of the Country Representative and Heads of Mission:

    • Implement data protection best practices, with some relevant and realistic means such as provision of advice and recommendations on data protection to departments and field missions and assist in their implementation 
    • Manages two data protection implementors
    • Provide training in data protection, pairing up with the relevant stakeholders (IT officers, record management officers, etc.) to guarantee 100% of the staff are aware and autonomous in their actions
    • Draft or review policies and procedures necessary to apply data protection principles to MSF activities 
    • Map the data flows generated by the activities and ensure proper maintenance and updating of the register of processing activities 
    • Ensure that data protection is considered when choosing MSF service providers and partners, particularly in contracts 
    • Manage any personal data breaches 
    • Carry out the necessary data protection impact assessments with the missions
    • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as project Managers, document/record management teams, IT teams, legal department or medical and operation directions for the implementation of specific processes and ensure consistent application of the recommendations   
    • Identify and train focal points in missions to handle data protection responsibilities such as maintaining relevant registers, producing assessments and diffusing information
    • Monitor local data protection regulations

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Law, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Informatics, Statistics or their equivalent from a recognized and accredited institution
    • Technical data strategy and protection certification standards such as protection information management (PIM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) or Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Legal and technical expertise in data protection and at least 2 years of experience in data protection
    • Experience with digital security awareness topics and best practices, particularly cybersecurity is a plus
    • Strong experience in change management and process implementation
    • Previous experience with MSF/ NGOs is a plus.

    Languages:

    • B1 independent user English
    • B1 independent user French is an added advantage.

    Competencies:

    • Ability to report to the Steering Committee, including fine report writing and presentation skills
    • Requirements collection and prioritization
    • Highly literate in Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
