Qualifications

• HND / Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Building Engineering.
• Membership of a professional body i.e COREN or CORBON, will be an advantage
• 10-15 years of experience working in a major construction company
• Experience in starting and finishing at least three (3) verifiable large scale projects of appreciable complexity beyond simple frame structures, and up to six floors.

Capabilities:

• In-depth knowledge of building engineering, technology, construction, and design.
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and generate material requirements
• Capacity of offering advice and implementing the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction, and addressing all technical issues.
• Managing all site activities and tasks.
• Ensuring equipment and procedures comply with safety regulations.
• Surveying sites, setting out alignments, levels etc (operation of leveling instruments)
• Adherence to standards, specifications and relevant codes
• Building developing and operating a site Safety plan
• Proven track record of managing personnel and material resources
• Highly organized and having good attention to details. Physically fit and able to walk around for long Periods of time.
• Excellent client relationship skills
• Strong time management and project management skills: must meet milestone targets.
• Willingness to work a flexible time schedule.
