    Quality Assurance Supervisor – Cereal

    Job Summary

    • The Quality Assurance Supervisor – Cereal is responsible for supervising in-line quality assurance activities within breakfast cereal production.
    • The role ensures compliance with food safety standards, product specifications, and quality systems across all cereal manufacturing processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise in-line QA activities across cereal production processes including extrusion, syrup preparation, drying, coating, and packaging.
    • Ensure hourly monitoring and documentation of critical quality parameters during production.
    • Verify raw materials and packaging materials before release for production use.
    • Ensure only compliant finished products are released to the warehouse.
    • Support QA Officers in in-line inspections and process control activities.
    • Escalate quality deviations, food safety risks, and process abnormalities to the QA Manager.
    • Monitor CCPs, GMP, hygiene, and sanitation compliance across production lines.
    • Conduct routine checks on moisture, texture, weight, appearance, sealing integrity, and product consistency.
    • Ensure proper sample retention, batch traceability, and accurate QA documentation.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline.
    • 3–5 years FMCG manufacturing experience, preferably in breakfast cereal production.
    • Strong understanding of cereal manufacturing processes (extrusion, drying, coating).
    • Good knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000).
    • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
    • Good leadership and supervisory ability.

    • The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the QA function across all production factories, ensuring consistent delivery of safe, high-quality products in compliance with regulatory, customer, and global food safety standards.
    • The role provides leadership in quality systems, food safety management, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and coordinate all Quality Assurance activities across all production lines (seasoning, cocoa, chocolate, beverage powder, custard, and related products).
    • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the QA team across all factories.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, ISO standards).
