    Raw & Packaging Materials Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The Raw & Packaging Materials Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all incoming raw and packaging materials meet approved quality and food safety specifications through inspection, laboratory analysis, documentation, and timely escalation of deviations before release for production use.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct laboratory analysis and inspection of incoming raw and packaging materials.
    • Ensure only materials meeting approved specifications are released for production use.
    • Perform routine tests including moisture content, pH, Brix, viscosity, organoleptic checks, particle size, seal integrity, grammage, leakage tests, and dimensional checks.
    • Carry out sampling and retention of raw and packaging materials according to procedures.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all test results and quality records.
    • Escalate all out-of-specification results and deviations to the QA Manager.
    • Monitor supplier material quality and support supplier improvement initiatives.
    • Verify packaging materials for print quality, coding, labeling accuracy, and compatibility.
    • Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    • Support investigation of quality issues related to raw and packaging materials.
    • Maintain GMP, HACCP, food safety, and hygiene compliance in inspection areas.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline.
    • 2–4 years FMCG manufacturing experience.
    • Strong understanding of raw and packaging material quality standards.
    • Knowledge of food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, etc.).
    • Good laboratory and analytical skills.
    • Strong documentation and reporting ability.

    • Good communication and reporting skills
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
