    Internal Control Officer

    Job Description

    • An Internal Control Officer is needed at J-Six Chicken, a subsidiary of J-Six Group.
    • The successful candidate will ensure employee and departmental compliance with company policies and processes, detecting, escalating and eliminating fraud from the system, and conducting regular audits.

    Key Areas of Functionality:

    • Inventory
    • Internal Cash Handling
    • Financial.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducting regular control checks on cash, inventory, expenses, dispatch and production reports.
    • Reporting any discrepancies identified to the Management.
    • To identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost saving.
    • To obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
    • Conducting risk assessment of all departments.
    • Reporting risk management issues and internal control deficiencies identified directly to Management and providing recommendations for improving the organization's operations.
    • Evaluating and ensuring compliance with the existing company policies and procedures, identifying and proposing modifications as needed.
    • Identifying areas of strength and weakness and engaging in continuous education and staff development.
    • Reviewing the responses to internal and external audit management letters and queries to ensure that recommendations are implemented and to ensure that all action items are resolved.
    • Evaluating information security and associated risk exposures.
    • Evaluating regulatory compliance programs.
    • Evaluating the organization's readiness in case of business interruption.
    • Providing support to the company's anti-fraud programs.
    • Preparation of centre monthly reports.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting or any other related field.
    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in financial audit in the hospitality sector is a must.
    • A strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and interpretation.
    • Proficient in Accounting software
    • Working knowledge of MS Excel, i-class will be an added advantage..
    • Ability to work as a stand alone and pay attention to details.
    • Excellent communication skills.

    Restaurants Operations Manager

    Duties

    • Oversee the general activities of all three (3) restaurant outlets i.e. coordinate all activities from quality production, sales, employee, restaurant ambience, cleanliness to hygiene.
    • Monitoring daily sales and reporting across the outlets and ensuring Shift Managers execute their deliverables diligently.
    • Implementing policies and processes, and ensuring compliance of same; includingfood and safety regulations
    • Provide Staff with development training to maximize their skills by preparing training calendar and coordinating required trainings for both the front office and production Staff
    • Resolve customer’s complaint professionally upon escalation
    • Develop plans and tactics to continuously achieve and exceed daily sales target across the outlets.
    • Ensure products are delivered by kitchen staff according to items ordered and company's standard
    • Develop and implement methods of improving customer’s satisfaction through excellent service
    • Conduct frequent checks on the production floor, inventory and front office to ensure all Staff are in compliance with regulations.
    • Manage disciplinary issues and escalate to the Human Resources department as appropriate.
    • Strategize on reducing wastages and cost of production
    • Keep abreast of local competition and develop plans to retain customers such as handling marketing strategies and creative promotions
    • Manage the implementation of local sales building programmes

    Requirements

    • B.Sc in Marketing / Hospitality / Business Administration or related fields.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in the fast food sector, with a track record of achieving excellent sales figures
    • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to manage disciplinary issues
    • Communication and comprehensive skill is important for this role
    • Ability to deescalate tense situations with customers
    • Ability to delegate and follow through
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience using-class software would be an added advantage.
    • Must be flexible in terms of coordinating three (3) restaurant outlets.

    Dispatch Rider

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an OND qualification
    • A minimum of 2 years related work experience
    • Valid rider's permit
    • Preferred candidates must live in close proximity to Obalende-Lekkiaxis
    • Excellent customer service and impeccable hygiene
    • Ability to navigate Lekki Phase 1 and its surroundings with ease.
    • Good knowledge of road signs and traffic regulations.
    • Safety conscious.

    Restaurant Cashier

    Duties

    • Take customer orders at the counter.
    • Receive payments and present change to customers.
    • Pack food items neatly.
    • Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours.
    • Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations.
    • Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period.

    Requirements

    • Candidates must have an OND qualification.
    • A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a fast food restaurant is an added advantage.
    • Excellent mathematical and multitasking abilities.
    • Basic knowledge of computers, calculators, and other machines required for transactions.
    • Outstanding customer relations skills and the ability to ensure a customer-priority culture
    • Ability to work with flexibility on a shift basis.

    Store Officer

    Duties

    • Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store’s area of operation.
    • Monitor and take inventory on a regular basis to compile orders based on par levels or needs.
    • Receive all items and maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
    • Monitor periodic automatic reorder levels for all food items to ensure the availability of stock.
    • Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per agreed purchase, delivery note, and agreed quantity have been received
    • Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities' upkeep and hygiene.
    • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
    • Ensure cleanliness of all areas, keeping storage areas clean and tidy and in strict compliance with hygiene regulations
    • Ensure the store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and entered into the inventory/materials management system.
    • All invoices must be posted immediately upon receiving items.
    • Follow up on documentation of after-hours issues, ensuring it is in accordance with established internal controls and procedures
    • Conduct an inventory audit to determine inventory levels and needs.
    • Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
    • Work closely with Procurement to order and receive items and equipment.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of an OND qualification
    • At least 1 year of work experience in the same or related role is an added advantage for a fast food restaurant.
    • Inventory and market requisition knowledge
    • Excellent numerical skills and the ability to communicate well with others
    • Available for immediate resumption.
    • Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge is a must.
    • The candidate must live in close proximity to the location of choice.
