    Supervisor, Project and Program Management

    Job Summary

    • Oversees the team to complete their projects and is responsible for ensuring that standards are followed.

    Responsibilities
    People Management:

    • Provides management through workload distribution and guidance to others who are driving delivery of day-to-day projects

    Planning:

    • Is responsible for ensuring standards are in place and followed by the team. Is responsible for planning team growth requirements

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Encourages and asks for feedback on the team or individuals
    • Is an escalation point to resolve stakeholder issues within the team

    Communications:

    • Is able to advise on communication requirements and improves the team's communications standards

    Risk Management;

    • Supports the team on the resolution of escalated issues

    Project/Program Delivery;

    Qualifications

    Job Summary

    • Manages team of supervisors in own business area, overseeing team development and training, managing budgets and assigning and prioritizing workflow.

    Responsibilities

    • Team Leadership: Manages team of supervisors within own business area, providing overall leadership to everyone on supervisors' teams; works with other managers to get things rolled out between teams (e.g., new system enhancements and system deployments)

    Data Center Critical Facilities Officer II

    Responsibilities
    Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance:

    Data Center Customer Operations III

    • Applies acquired job skills to work on tasks that are semi-routine in nature. Focus is on semi-routine tasks within standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.

    Responsibilities
    Queue Management / Reporting:

    • Reviews work order requests in the queue and responds to semi-routine work orders by adhering to commitment times
    • Escalates and expedites orders to appropriate teams upon standard operating procedures; supervision needed on the escalation of non-standard  procedure escalation requests
    • Ensures adherence to commit times within standard operating procedures
    • Maintains detailed written records of all work activity

    Installations:

    • Rack and stack semi-routine customer equipment tickets.Supports intra-cage infrastructure installations by following the standard operating procedures of semi-routine customer installs, which may include: fiber trays, ladder racks, customer equipment and cabinets; semi-basic cage installs for mesh and overhead cable trays; and, performs tape changes and standard operating back-up changes

    Cross-Connect:

    • Supports semi-routine datacenter standard operating cross-connect work order requests (installs, terminations, modifications, and testing)
    • Ensures the standard operating procedures are followed on cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and semi-routine intra-building cross connects
    • Learns to install 'across' connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.), under supervision

    Testing / Troubleshooting:

    • Supports semi-routine standard operating testing and  standard operating installations of customer assets
    • Supports standard operating procedures of layer 1 cross-connect certification testing
    • May learn non-standard operating testing, such as: layer 2 and layer 3 testing, under supervision

    Stakeholder Partnership:

    • Supports the operations and security personnel team for breaks or other activities, when necessary
    • Supports standard operating procedural tasks provides back-up assistance to team members when necessary

    Customer Management:

    • Supports customer satisfaction with timely adherence to following semi-routine execution order requirements
    • Delivers a high level of service and an excellent customer experience when interfacing with customers

    Applications System Engineer

    • Database Administration experience
    • Experience supporting Vmware vSphere environment
    • Networking experience will be an added advantage
    • Automation experience will be an added advantage (shell scripting, Ansible)

    Vendor Support:

    • Supports the work approval process for service providers on moderately difficult maintenance work, for tracking: briefing at the start of work, work during the day workday/shift and final review of the work carried out. Ensures vendor maintenance activities are carried out as per Equinix's standard operating procedures.
    • In cooperation with vendors, supports modifications to technical files for plants and equipment ensuring files and builds are up-to-date.

    Site Administration & Incident Support:

    • Performs moderately difficult site logs for permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts.
    • Identifies Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and makes recommendations.
    • Responds to all moderately difficult on-site incidents, including failures, problems and delays.
    • Uses substantial understanding in following operating procedures to support on-site administration. 

    Work Orders & Additional Projects:

    • Completes routine work requests and circuit installations.
    • Troubleshoots and maintains office equipment (if necessary); supports auxiliary equipment and machines with problem solving and repairs to avoid/minimize downtime.
    • Makes minor changes to mechanical, electrical and specialized systems, as directed.
    • Carries out infrastructure projects.

    Collaboration:
