Job Description

• We are seeking a qualified and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Eastern & Western Hospital, located in the Jabi axis of Abuja.
• The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and supporting smooth daily operations. 

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or doctors
• Receive and process prescriptions accurately
• Handle inventory: stock, label, reorder, and record supplies
• Provide basic guidance to customers on medication usage
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organised
• Operate pharmacy software (POS, inventory management tools)Support patient care and pharmacy workflow as needed

Requirements

• Degree in a related field
• 1 year of experience

Description

• Massage and stretch muscles where necessary.
• Sample collections/ setting lines independently
• Set up therapy equipment.
• Sanitize the therapy area.
• Lift or move patients.
• Monitor patients during sessions.
• Guide patients through exercises where necessary.
• Brief patients and their families on after-therapy care.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
• Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies

Requirements / Skills

• Candidate should be a registered nurse with Physiotherapy knowledge.
• Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree.
• Must be proficient in the use of Electronic Management Records Systems
• Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Outstanding English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Must be a good listener
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
