    Store Officer

    Job Summary

    The Store Officer is responsible for the efficient management of the store's operations, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials, goods, and equipment. This role ensures that all items are accounted for, properly organized, and readily available to meet operational requirements while maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.

    Job Details

    • Carry out physical inspections on received materials to ensure they meet basic requirements such as specifications, types, dimensions, packages, expiry dates, etc.
    • Sort and segregate all supplied items to select the goods and reject the faulty ones, as well as sort out poor quality materials for rejection.
    • Inspect and record all required documents (waybill/delivery notes and invoices) to ensure they are in order i.e. properly written, and stamped by Access Gate Security Personnel and the Stores Department. 
    • Ensure that the reports of all receipts are recorded on the waybill for onward preparation of Good Received Note (GRN), thus, going through the process of documentation and uploading of all documents on the system (ERP) to generate GRN.
    • Receipts documentation:-Evidence of having received materials – Waybills endorsed as required and weighbridge Tickets are attached.
    • Liaise with the user departments to prepare the certificate of conformity to certify the accuracy of materials received. 
    • Keep for future purposes the records of all transactions relating to quantity ordered, quantity delivered, and quantity accepted/rejected.
    • Ensure that all received materials are properly stored on Racks or Pallets, as well as properly labeled, departmentalized/compartmentalized to prevent theft, fire hazards, and damages to the materials.
    • Ensure proper identification and issuance of stored items by careful retrievals and removal of items through well-accessible passages without unsettling other goods, as well as ensuring that all authorized documents are issued.
    • Take monthly physical stock counts, conduct proper reconciliation of the stock-counts and investigate discrepancies to guard against future occurrences. Investigate the reason for discrepancies and guide against future occurrences. 
    • Keep accurate records of all transactions for Audit purposes and traceability of materials, to ensure compliance and adequate inventory management.
    • Must ensure that the Store's Standard Operating Procedures are strictly followed at all times. 
    • Other Duties As May Be Assigned By Management From Time To Time.

    Educational Qualification: 

    • A university degree in Accounting, Economics, Inventory Management, or any related discipline will be required

    • Attention to Detail: The ability to notice and correct errors in inventory records, deliveries, and storage conditions.
    • Organizational Skills: Keeping the storage area tidy, well-labelled, and easy to navigate is essential.
    • Reliability: Being dependable and trustworthy, as a store officer often handle valuable inventory.
    • Problem-Solving: The capacity to identify and address issues as they arise, related to inventory discrepancies or other observable challenges.
    • Physical Fitness: Depending on the job, being able to lift and move heavy items might be necessary.

    Required Key Skills: 

    • Inventory Management: Proficiency in tracking and managing stock levels, orders,     deliveries, and supplies using inventory management software.
    • Data Entry and Management: Accurate and efficient handling of data related to inventory, orders, and other relevant records.
    • Communication: Clear and effective communication with suppliers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Time Management: Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
    • Basic Accounting: Understanding of basic financial principles related to inventory costs, losses, and profits.

    CCTV Operator

    Job Summary

    The CCTV Operator will be responsible for the effective installation, operation, and monitoring of CCTV systems, ensuring the security of all monitored locations and equipment. This role requires technical expertise in setting up CCTV equipment, including cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs). The CCTV Operator will oversee surveillance activities within the Control Centre, monitoring all cameras in accordance with best practices and established procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in the field, enabling them to effectively manage the deployment of surveillance equipment across various locations. Given the complexity and critical nature of this role, the selected individual may be positioned above other staff members within the CCTV unit, reflecting their expertise and ability to deliver on expectations. Key responsibilities include recording all incidents, events, and actions in a clear and accurate written format, safeguarding recorded data per regulatory requirements, and ensuring control room security is maintained. The CCTV Operator is also responsible for promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions to the Head of IT and delivering efficient and courteous responses to inquiries via telephone, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.     Job Details

    • To have technical experience on how to install the CCTV systems i.e. cameras and NVR. 
    • Operating and monitoring all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Centre in  an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures and best practice.
    • Recording all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format.
    • To maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with the regulations and also  to ensure the security of the control room and equipment is maintained at all times and to report equipment failure to Head of IT. 
    • Providing efficient and courteous telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquiries.

    Educational Qualification: 

    • OND, HND or BSc in relevant discipline with a strong background in security-related matters.
    • Proficiency in computer usage.

    Experience:

     Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a reputable organization.
