    Grants and Partnerships Manager

    Our client, facilitating the growth and enhancement of Africa\'s creative and cultural ecosystem is looking to hire a Grants and Partnerships Manager who will play a crucial role in securing and managing institutional donor resources. You will be responsible for maintaining competitive positioning, pursuing funding opportunities, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. This role involves leading the development of high-quality applications, managing relationships with donors, and supporting the overall grant management cycle.

    Responsibilities

    Grant Management

    • Monitor trends in donor funding, including corporate and non-traditional sources.
    • Build and manage relationships with current and prospective donors.
    • Develop strategic alliances and coalitions with other organisations; lead sub-award management.
    • Oversee the management and compliance of grants.
    • Support the organization\'s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system with input from the operations team.
    • Develop and implement a partnership strategy and build strategic partnerships.

    Positioning

    • Support the design and implementation of new grant programs.
    • Conduct outreach to identify potential partners and promote funding opportunities.
    • Perform due diligence on applications, assess funding risks, and provide support to applicants and funded organisations.
    • Conduct learning and monitoring visits; foster positive relationships with grant partners.
    • Collect and analyse data from the funding portfolio to assist in grant evaluation and impact reporting.
    • Manage budgets for grant programs as applicable.

    Proposal and Concept Note Development

    • Prepare high-quality donor proposals, concept notes, and grant documentation, aligning with the organization’s Strategy Action Plan (SAP).
    • Review technical and cost applications prepared by other staff for clarity, responsiveness, and compliance.
    • Review budgets to ensure consistency with the narrative and clarity.

    Grants Management & Compliance

    • Develop and maintain grant management tools such as funding trackers, reporting calendars, and compliance guidelines.
    • Support the Director of Innovation and Enterprise in conducting Project Cycle Meetings (PCM).
    • Supervise the team\'s reports and ensure compliance with donor policies.
    • Support the production of donor reports, ensuring high quality and timely submission.
    • Assist with preparations for external monitoring visits, reviews, and audits.
    • Aid the operations team in preparing and reviewing memoranda of understanding and grant agreements.
    • Maintain electronic and hard copy files for grant-funded projects for tracking and reporting purposes.
    • Conduct routine compliance reviews of grant programs.

    General Grants Management and Administration

    • Stay updated with institutional donor guidelines and disseminate relevant information.
    • Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive information management and filing systems.
    • Provide training on grant management-related issues to program, operations, and partner staff.
    • Support other program initiatives and tasks as assigned.
    • Prepare partnership updates and internal/external reports and documents. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with applicable experience in nonprofit governance, business administration, or grants management.
    • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a grant management and business development role, preferably with a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) or creative industry.
    • Prior experience in grants management with familiarity in Nigerian, US, European, Canadian, and UN donor regulations, procedures, and requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience in preparing and coordinating funding proposals and progress reports from institutional and private donors.
    • Demonstrable experience in grant-making, including end-to-end grant management over several granting cycles.
    • Experience supporting grants partners to achieve successful outcomes through proactive advice and support

    Must have skills

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging, informative, and well-organised presentations.
    • Ability to lead and motivate project teams, provide leadership to relevant working groups, and create an environment where results are achieved.

    Programme Manager

    Our client, a creative enterprise and innovation laboratory driven by a passionate commitment is looking to hire a Programme Manager who will spearhead the organization programme initiatives. This individual will be responsible for the design, planning, execution, and delivery of various programmes, events, and initiatives within our organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes, thereby contributing to the organisation\'s overall success and impact. 

    Responsibilities

    Project Management

    • Plan, design, and oversee programmes, proactively monitoring their progress, resolving issues, and initiating corrective action.
    • Define the programme\'s governance arrangements and ensure effective quality assurance.
    • Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams and manage dependencies and interfaces between projects.
    • Manage risks to the programme\'s successful outcome and initiate management interventions where necessary.
    • Ensure the delivery of new services from projects is of the appropriate quality, on time, and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and governance arrangements.
    • Report the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Director of Innovation and Enterprise.

    Reporting

    • Provide progress reports on programmes to key stakeholders, including project sponsors and government officials.
    • Develop performance metrics for programmes and monitor them.
    • Measure, track progress with respect to the programme’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and fulfil the reporting requirements of funding agencies and stakeholders.
    • Manage the programme budget, facilitate budget approvals and revision processes, and ensure the timely delivery of programme outputs.

    Programme Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation

    • Develop strategic documents concerning programme planning and implementation.
    • Design, plan, and execute programmes and projects, including scouting and the selection of strong cohort members.
    • Design project and activity work plans for incubation and accelerator programmes and follow through on implementations of the work plans.
    • Establish the monitoring and evaluation plan of the programme and ensure efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.

    Advocacy, Partnerships, and Resource Mobilisation

    • Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders and support resource mobilisation efforts.
    • Actively support identifying academics, researchers, professionals, and experts who could join the Madhouse expert network.
    • Liaise with external parties to conduct market research, perform targeted data analysis, synthesise market insights, and publish thought leadership pieces.

    Relationship and Stakeholder Management

    • Create a framework that guides engagement between the unit and various stakeholders.
    • Maintain good relations with all associated parties.
    • Identify ways to expand existing programmes and conceptualise new ones.
    • Develop a calendar of events to ensure a vibrant range of activities throughout the year.

    Other

    • Lead and/or support with the preparation and development of concept notes and proposal write-ups.
    • Monitor and highlight new partnership opportunities in line with Madhouse’s strategic focus

     

    Qualifications

    • University Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Education, Information Management, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in programme/project management in the startup space, enterprise development, or consulting.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
    • Entrepreneurial experience or experience working in a creative environment with a demonstrated understanding of the creative and startup support ecosystem.

    Must have skills

    • Organised, resourceful, able to take initiative, and make sound decisions
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites.

    Real Estate Manager

    Our client, who is a Legal Practitioners & Property Consultants, is looking to hire a Real Estate Manager who will provide professional expertise in real estate management and manage the complete real estate portfolio of the firm, which entails periodic inspections follow up and preparation of reports. The ideal candidate will promote sales through advertising, marketing all real estate properties and providing other incidental support in the firm. The Real Estate Manager will be responsible for maximizing property performance, and effective property management strategies. Your primary goal is to maintain and enhance the value of real estate assets while delivering a positive experience for tenants and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain property rentals, conduct regular inspections, and prepare reports.
    • Perform comparative market analysis to estimate property value.
    • Maintain and update listing of available properties for sale, management and inspection.
    • Develop and manage property budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure rent collection and timely payment of property-related bills.
    • Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs, ensuring that properties are well-maintained, safe, and comply with relevant regulations.

    • Reach out to customers after completed sales to evaluate satisfaction and determine updated service requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor\'s degree in estate management, bachelor\'s degree in law or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5-6 years of real estate experience with diversified portfolios.
    • In-depth knowledge and experience with construction and building processes and facility management.

    Must have skills

    • Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills
    • Organizational and time management skills.
    • Technology driven.
    • High work standards and real estate management experience is required.
