    Deputy Provost

    Job Description

    • The Deputy Provost is a Principal Officer in the College and is the Head of a Campus of the College.
    • The Provost may appoint the Deputy Provost to act on his/her behalf.  

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
    • A teacher’s qualification. (PGDE/Diploma in Education Nurse/Midwife Educator) and registered by the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
    • Must be Registered/Licensed by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Nursing Sciences Educator.
    • Minimum of 12 years cognate working/Teaching experience in a similar or other Tertiary Institution,
    • Must have held an administrative position at a senior level not lower than a Head of an Academic Department or equivalent in a tertiary Institution for a period, not less than two years.

    Terms of Appointment

    • This position is on a tenure appointment for four [4] years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a period of another four years only.
    • Where the appointee is from the College, he/she shall revert to his/her former rank at the end of the tenure.

    College Bursar

    • The College Bursar is a Principal Officer in the College and is responsible to the Provost for management of finances of the College.
    • The Bursar is the Head of Bursary Department of the College and Chief Adviser to the Provost on financial matters of the College.

    Job Requirements

    • Degree or a Higher National Diploma in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution of higher learning
    • Professional Accountancy qualification(s) from Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) or Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) with at least 15 years post qualification cognate work experience; five of which must have been at Senior Management level in a Tertiary Institution.

    • The Registrar is a Principal Officer in the College and is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administrative work of the College, except for which the Bursar or College Librarian is responsible.
    • The Registrar serves as the Secretary to the Governing Council of the College, Academic Board of the College, Management Committee, and any sub-committees.
    • The Registrar is the chief adviser to the Provost on Administrative and Human Resource Management issues.

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Public Administration or Management Sciences or other Social Sciences and Humanities from a recognized university with at least 15 years cognate work experience, 5 (years) of which should be in Registry Department of a Tertiary Institution accredited by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or the NBTE.
    • Must be a member of a professional body.
    • Must be computer literate.

    Job Description

    • The Provost is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and reports to the Governing Council of the College.

    He / She is:

    • Responsible for maintaining law and order in the College.
    • Responsible for maintaining and promoting efficiency and discipline.
    • The Chief Accounting Officer
    • The link between the College Management and the Governing Council on all matters that affect the statutory responsibilities of the College.
    • The Chairman of the Management Committee and Academic Board
    • The Chief Public Relations Officer of the College

    Job Requirements

    • Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of First Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree from an accredited university.
