    Business Development Officer

    Location: Lekki & Sangotedo Lagos State

    Sector: Microfinance Banking

    Reports To: Head of Business Development 

    We are looking for a results-driven and customer-oriented Business Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the bank\\\'s growth by identifying new business opportunities, mobilizing deposits, marketing loan products, and managing client relationships.

    The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a strong network, and a passion for financial inclusion and sales.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Client Acquisition & Marketing: Source for new individual and corporate clients to actively market the bank’s deposit and loan products.
    • Deposit Mobilization: Meet and exceed set monthly targets for deposit mobilization and account opening.
    • Loan Portfolio Management: Evaluate loan applications, conduct thorough credit appraisals/site visits, and ensure high-quality loan disbursement.
    • Relationship Management: Maintain excellent relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention, repeat business, and referrals.
    • Recovery & Monitoring: Monitor loan repayment schedules and follow up with clients to ensure zero tolerance for default and maintain a healthy Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
    • Market Intelligence: Keep track of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to suggest product improvements.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Education: B.Sc. or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or any related field.
    • Experience: * Minimum of 2–4 years of active experience in marketing or business development within a Microfinance Bank or commercial bank.
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales/mobilization targets.

    Skills:

    • Strong marketing, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
    • Good understanding of micro-lending and credit risk assessment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Head, Internal Control & Audit

    Location: Mainland- Lagos state

    We are seeking a seasoned, highly analytical, and ethical professional to lead our Internal Control and Audit department. The Head of Internal Control & Audit will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive internal audit program, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, safeguarding bank assets, and improving the overall operational efficiency of the institution.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CBN regulations, risk management, and microfinance banking operations, coupled with an uncompromising stance on integrity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Audit Planning & Execution: Formulate, implement, and manage the annual risk-based internal audit plan to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank’s internal controls.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, NDIC guidelines, and other relevant statutory requirements.
    • Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and evaluate operational, financial, and credit risks across all branches and departments.
    • Investigation & Fraud Prevention: Lead investigations into suspected fraud, forgeries, or operational lapses and recommend appropriate disciplinary or corrective actions.
    • Financial & Operational Reviews: Review accuracy and reliability of financial reports, loan disbursements, and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present independent, objective, and timely audit reports to the Managing Director and the Board Audit Committee.
    • Internal Control Maintenance: Continuously review and update the bank’s internal control policies to plug loopholes and adapt to evolving security or operational needs.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • Professional Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA). Certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CFE are a distinct advantage.
    • Experience: * Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in internal control, audit, or risk management within the banking sector.
    • At least 3 years in a senior or managerial role (Microfinance experience is highly preferred).

    Credit Analyst

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Credit Officer to join our credit risk management team. You will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of diverse clients, and managing a healthy loan portfolio. Your primary goal is to facilitate business growth while minimizing financial risk through sound lending decisions and proactive monitoring.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Credit Appraisal: Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applicants, including cash flow analysis, debt-to-income ratios, and collateral valuation.
    • Risk Assessment: Evaluate the credit risk of individuals and businesses based on credit history, financial statements, and industry trends.
    • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all loan files are complete and comply with internal credit policies and Central Bank (CBN) regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in credit operations within a Microfinance Bank or Commercial Bank.

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Strong understanding of the 5 C\'s of Credit (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Conditions).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
    • Experience with Credit Bureau reporting and inquiries.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional integrity, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to make objective, data-driven decisions.

    Competencies

    Senior IT Officer (Banking & Financial Services)

    Role Overview

    We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT Officer with a robust background in the financial services sector. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of our banking systems and digital infrastructure. This role requires a candidate who understands the \"zero-downtime\" nature of banking and is expert in protecting sensitive financial data.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Manage and troubleshoot the Core Banking Application to ensure seamless daily processing, end-of-day (EOD), and month-end operations.
    • Maintain secure VPNs, firewalls, and encryption protocols for electronic fund transfers (EFT) and online banking platforms.
    • Ensure all IT operations align with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines, NDPR data privacy standards, and AML/KYC technical requirements.
    • Oversee robust Disaster Recovery (DR) sites and automated backup systems to ensure data integrity in the event of system failure.
    • Support the integration and maintenance of mobile banking apps, USSD codes, and ATM/POS switching systems.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of IT experience specifically within a Bank, Microfinance Bank (MFB), or Fintech environment.

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Hands-on experience with BankOne database management.
    • Familiarity with Interswitch, NIBSS, or similar financial switching platforms.

    Competencies

    • Deep understanding of Fintech security threats and mitigation strategies.
    • Ability to work under pressure during critical system maintenance windows.
    • Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.
