    Community Support Associate: (Digital Literacy Community of Practice)

    The Safe Online with Meta Campaign focuses on three pillars;

    • The Digital Literacy Community of Practice (COP): A virtual community of cybersecurity and online safety experts and enthusiasts curated to leverage the power of groups, networks and communities to amplify the Safe Online with Meta Campaign on safe and responsible use of the internet.
    • The Campus Ambassadors Programme: this component of the programme targets undergraduates in higher education institutions, empowering them with digital skills and online safety skills through various activation and training programmes.
    • Dignified: provides digital literacy and online safety training to senior citizens aged 50 and above both physically and virtually.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Stakeholder mapping of 50 relevant organisations to be onboarded to the Digital Literacy Community of Practice (COP).
    • Identify and implement relevant activation programmes for the selected organisations togive the decision-makers an idea of what the COP is about and its benefit to them.
    • Work with the Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Team to design and disseminate surveys from the COP.
    • Work with the Learning Development team to facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for COP member organisations.
    • Design and implement an engagement calendar for the virtual COP.
    • Identify focus activities for the various groups in the COP and liaise with the Learning Development Team to curate specific engagement plans.
    • Submit a weekly and monthly engagement report detailing training for organisations in your portfolio, outputs and outcomes of COP engagement and other duties assigned by the programme manager.

    Qualifications

    To ensure we onboard the right fit of educators for this campaign;

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., education, marketing, communications).
    • Strong communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms and knowledge of digital literacy and technology trends.
    • Individuals with a strong influence among young people and organisations with access to or affiliation with professional communities.

    Programme Support Associate

    Summary:

    The Program Support Associate will play a pivotal role in the success of the DIGnified Program and will be responsible for liaising with relevant organisations, managing logistics, and ensuring their effective training to 2000 senior citizens.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify organisations, communities and platforms that are curated for senior citizens.
    • Build and maintain relationships with relevant organisations, communities and platforms catering to groups of senior citizens (e.g religious institutions, Facebook communities for senior citizens, artisan and traders’ groups, etc).
    • Disseminate the needs assessment form to communities of senior citizens with at least 100 disaggregated responses (from various locations).
    • Coordinate with leaders of identified organisations, communities and platforms to secure dates, necessary resources (space, sound system, electricity, screen) and support (a liaison officer) to facilitate DIGnified training.
    • Plan and manage logistics for program activities.
    • Collaborate with the Learning Development team to coordinate the development and delivery of training programs for program participants.
    • Collaborate with the monitoring and evaluation team to disseminate surveys during the project period.
    • Track and monitor the weekly performance of the DIGnified Programme outlining the number of training schedules implemented and the number of participants trained.
    • Accurately record and document the DIGnified Program and submit a monthly engagement report detailing the output and outcomes of the different programme components including the number of training schedules implemented, number/gender/age group of participants trained, surveys disseminated, improvement plans, deviation from the projects, collaborations, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., education, marketing, communications).
    • Experience managing physical or online communities or facilitating training.
    • Strong communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms and knowledge of digital literacy and technology trends.
    • Experience in event planning and coordination.
    • Experience working with communities or affiliation with communities of senior citizens is a plus.

    Programme Support Associate: (Campus Ambassadors Programme)

    Summary:

    The Program Support Associate will play a pivotal role in the success of the Campus Ambassador Program and will be responsible for organising a call for ambassadors, selecting qualified candidates, and ensuring their effective onboarding and training. The associate will also oversee the implementation of campus-wide ambassador-led training and Safe Online Pop-ups.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Organise and execute a call for ambassadors campaign to attract qualified candidates from select higher education institutions.
    • Develop and implement a selection process that ensures the recruitment of diverse and talented individuals from the application pool.
    • Review applications and conduct interviews to select suitable ambassadors.
    • Manage the virtual Campus Ambassadors Community, and provide support to the ambassadors throughout the program.
    • Facilitate the establishment of Online Safety Clubs, led by campus ambassadors, with at least 20 active members.
    • Work with the Learning Development team to ensure ambassadors complete all required training modules and certifications.
    • Coordinate and manage the implementation of campus-wide Safe Online training facilitated by Campus Ambassadors and members of the Online Safety Club.
    • Ensure that ambassadors effectively reach their target audience of 2000 students in each of the 5 campuses.
    • Oversee the organisation and execution of digital literacy pop-ups in host schools.
    • Track and monitor the weekly performance of ambassadors by the number of training sessions and students trained, and report same to the Programmes Manager.
    • Work with the monitoring and evaluation team to disseminate surveys during the project period to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
    • Accurately record and document the Safe Online Campus Ambassadors Program and submit a monthly engagement report detailing the output and outcomes of the different programme components including the Online Safety Club activities, improvement plans, deviation from the projects, collaborations, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., education, marketing, communications).
    • Experience working with students in higher education institutions and organising programmes for youths or affiliated with student communities.
    • Strong communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms (e.g. Google Workspace tools) and knowledge of digital literacy and technology trends.
