• As our Account Assistant, you'll process transactions, reconcile accounts, assist with payroll and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing payments, invoices, and payroll in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and statements;track discrepancies
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management
• Track revenues, expenses, and cash flow across hotel operations
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash accounts
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies

Requirements

• Proven experience as in accounting (preferably in the hospitality industry)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Google Sheet.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process guest payments by cash, card, or transfer
• Issue accurate receipts for all transactions
• Maintain a balanced cash float at all times
• Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile against sales records
• Handle foreign currency transactions where applicable
• Report any payment discrepancies to the Bookkeeper immediately
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organised cashier station
