    Territory Sales Manager

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and maintain a distribution network comprising agents.
    • Drive revenue growth in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Anticipate market trends and customer needs to better position the company with stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to develop new solutions and services for distribution partners and end customers.
    • Lead and facilitate business development initiatives within the sector.
    • Conduct market analysis of the region and forecast potential developments.
    • Monitor brand performance and identify emerging trends.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects with departments such as Marketing, Claims, and Collections. Manage and support the performance of Agency Managers.
    • Provide leadership and accountability in managing direct reports.
    • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, regular reporting, and communication with the line manager. Support agents and managers in their B2B outreach efforts.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCY SPECIFICATION

    • Academic Qualification & Work Experience
    • First Degree in any relevant discipline.
    • Minimum of 5-7years' experience with 3 years at least in sales leadership role
    • Strong track record in managing an agency workforce.
    • Hands-on experience in sales and marketing operations.

    Relationship Manager

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and direct clients to drive the acquisition and retention of General Insurance policies.
    • Drive the marketing and sales of Sanlam Allianz General Insurance products (e.g., Motor, Fire, Marine, Travel, Liability) to individuals, SMEs, and corporate entities.
    • Maximize portfolio growth through policy renewals, cross-selling, up-selling, and conversion of new business opportunities.
    • Identify client insurance needs and recommend tailored solutions, ensuring product fit and long-term value. Develop compelling proposals and product presentations to communicate coverage benefits and pricing. Collaborate with Underwriting and Risk teams to ensure a timely turnaround on quotations and onboarding. Work closely with Claims to ensure a seamless customer experience and timely claims settlement. Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to inform strategy and positioning.
    • Maintain deep understanding of General Insurance products and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and advisory excellence.
    • Track sales performance against targets and contribute to periodic business performance reviews.
    • Actively contributes to the formulation of territory growth strategies, channel development, and broker relationship management.
    • Execute assigned strategic initiatives that align with the Branch/Unit business goals. Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Head or Business Development Lead.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCY SPECIFICATION

    Academic Qualification & Work Experience

    • First degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Business Administration or any related discipline
    • Professional membership/qualification and industry certifications such as CIIN, NIM, CFP etc.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience required

    Required Competencies (KSA):

    • Excellent Sales and Marketing skills
    • Good knowledge of best practices in the insurance industry
    • Sound knowledge of Nigerian Insurance regulations and practice
    • Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills
    • Good knowledge of Operational Risk Management and Alternative Financial Service Channel Negotiation & Customer Relationship Management skills
