    Driver

    Education & Age

    • Minimum of SSCE/WAEC (basic literacy and communication).
    • Preferably between 25 – 35 years (mature and experienced).

    License & Driving Experience

    • Valid Nigerian Driver’s License.
    • Minimum of 5 and above years driving experience (with references).
    • Experience driving official/organizational vehicles.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
    • Familiarity with major routes within Kan(and inter-state routes if needed).
    • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (checking oil, tires, fuel, etc.).
    • Ability tkeep a logbook/vehicle records.

    Personal Qualities

    • Trustworthy and reliable (with good references).
    • Punctual and disciplined.
    • Physically fit and healthy.
    • Ability tmaintain confidentiality and professionalism.

    Other Requirements

    • Defensive driving training is an advantage.
    • Basic First Aid knowledge.
    • Willingness twork flexible hours, including weekends/public holidays when required.

    Research Assistant – TB BSL-3 Laboratory Reports to: Head, TB Laboratory

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Research Assistant will support operations in the TB BSL-3 Laboratory by performing diagnostics, assisting with quality management systems, and contributing to research activities. The role requires technical expertise in TB diagnostics and the ability to collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform TB diagnostic tests (GeneXpert, Truenat, TB-LAMP, LF-LAM, line probe assays, TB culture, and drug susceptibility testing).
    • Support laboratory logistics and ensure adequate supply of consumables and reagents.
    • Assist in the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including SOPs, audits, and documentation.
    • Participate in training and capacity-building activities in mycobacteriology.
    • Contribute to laboratory connectivity initiatives and the use of data for decision-making.
    • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and contributing to research manuscripts.
    • Support laboratory strengthening activities, including sample transport systems.
    • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head of Laboratory.

    Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of TB culture and molecular diagnostics.
    • Understanding of QMS and laboratory accreditation standards.
    • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to contribute to research writing and publications.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Education and Experience:

    • M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology, or related field (Master’s in Public Health is an advantage).
    • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a TB diagnostic or research laboratory.
    • Experience with TB/HIV programs or development partner collaborations is desirable.
