    Team Member, Merchandising & Warehousing

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    JOB OBJECTIVE(S) Develop and implement a robust merchandising strategy ensuring effective and timely procurement and delivery to users, increase brand penetration, enhance the image of the Bank and achieve the mandate: Right Merchandise, Right Message.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan & organize the procurement and distribution of branded merchandise beginning with a merchandise fair through final delivery and distribution.
    • Identify and procure appropriate merchandise that are brand, event or customer specific.
    • Inspect & maintain the brand quality of merchandise used bank wide are consistent with the brand standards.
    • Manage merchandise support and logistics as required by subsidiaries within FirstBank.
    • Coordinate the needs and requirements of other units within the department and supply required merchandise on time.
    • Monitor the efficient deployment of the merchandise required to the users and deploy a seamless process of recharging expense accounts. Also manage the relationship with courier service providers to ensure prompt delivery.
    • Maintain and manage relationships with accredited vendors (over 100) that will guarantee timely delivery of orders as approved by FirstBank
    • Monitor global developments in merchandising by regular environmental scans to ensure the Bank is current with global trends
    • Coordinate and manage the back office administration of the Brandshop online and M&CC Store on EBS application.
    • Manage, reconcile and resolve all ensuing issues from the Brandshop online and M&CC Store on EBS transactions. Document Control Reference: Issue No 5 Issue Date: 11/03/2020 Page 1 of 4
    • Ensure the accuracy of information in respect of stocked or expected merchandise and availability.
    • Evaluate proposals sent in by vendors and ensure that professional conduct and standards are maintained in every transaction.
    • Manage & maintain regular stock of all merchandising items i.e no stock-out and readily available.
    • Ensure that merchandising & warehousing is handled efficiently within the scope of Requests, Supply, Distribution & Auditing (RSDA).
    • Manage the procurement process for branded merchandise including PMC sittings and review same regularly.
    • Monitor and report proper inventory management of physical stock through monthly stock taking at the 4th , 5 th floor, SEB and Niger House stores.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    Minimum Education: First Degree in social sciences or related discipline

    Experience

    Minimum 5 years experience, knowledge of quantitative & qualitative market research, record keeping & customer service relationship management. Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint & Excel is essential.

    MSC Sponsorship, Partnerships, Events & Collaborations

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

    • Strategic focus on delivering sponsorship and events initiatives and activities in alignment wiith the Bank’s objectives whilst seeking out value propositions, proposals to retaining existing and building new partnerships and generating revenue leads for Business Units.
    • Contribute to the production of world class publications and conferences that positions the Bank as thought leaders, policy influencers and key drivers of banking and financial services in the Nigerian economy and globally, one Business Unit at a time.
    • Support the Head, Sponsorships, Events and Content Management in the delivery and crucial positioning of FirstBank’s global sponsorship and events initiatives and activities in alignment wiith the Bank’s objectives whilst seeking out value propositions that lead to the retaining of existing relationships and building new ones with a view to generating revenue leads.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with implementing the Bank’s sponsorship and events strategies, one Business Unit at a time
    • Assist with monitoring developments in the sponsorship of Business Unit events by carrying out environmental scans to ensure that the Bank is abreast with all highly sensitive news/developments
    • Provide analysis for all information gathered on sponsorship and events and make comments that will help management in decision making
    • Assist with negotiating the best price on the Bank’s sponsorship/events using the Bank’s policy on comparative quotes from different vendors
    • Assist with monitoring the Bank’s brand/visibility at events to ensure consistency and handle competition as this will aid to review how the Bank is performing compared to other banks
    • Work with Business Units within the Bank to ensure standard delivery of the Bank’s events
    • Assist with identifying sponsorship platforms that would generate revenue leads for the different Business Units using the sponsorship filter as measurement metrics
    • Supervise elements of events outsourced to event managers, consultants and agencies
    • Assist in generating ideas as well as implementing bank-owned conferences and workshops globally, upholding thought leadership, policy influencing and financial inclusion objectives
    • Develop plans to sustain awareness, passion and participation for the Bank’s publications and conferences initiatives.
    • Provide editorial support and ensure timely production of other good quality publications as may be required by Management (e.g. Corporate Profile) and provide necessary support for other publications from different Business Units within the Bank.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education Minimum Education: 

    • First Degree in Social science or science discipline

    Marketing Services Executive, Stakeholder Management

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

    • To provide strong support to developing and implementing go-to market strategies for the assigned Holdco or Bank Subsidiary, Bank Departments, Bank SBUs or Bank SRFs; Identify and develop opportunities for business growth and maximize synergy in all marketing and brand-building activities within those assigned areas of business.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support in the planning and development of annual Marketing and Communications activities for the Group or for the specific Bank assigned businesses.
    • Provide input to the budgeting process for strategic/tactical marketing planning.
    • Support the implementation of strategic through the line marketing activities including all internal communications, media and agency relations, branding, events and sponsorships, merchandise management, corporate and industry/policy initiatives and other marketing-related functions for assigned business, to ensure the achievement of equity in their perception among the public
    • Support the development of brand strategies and marketing plans across designated SBUs and subsidiaries.
    • Enforce brand consistency and drive brand quality across all platforms
    • Execute assigned businesses marketing plans/activities in addition to budget scheduling efficiencies, as developed/directed by HOU
    • Liaise with Market Planning Unit to ensure stakeholders requirements are clearly understood and delivered within stipulated SLAs
    • Assist in undertaking, on a periodic basis, competitive activity tracking a well as actionable intelligence reports and developing/co-coordinating appropriate response to such.
    • Administer files and brand-books as well as routine processes relating to marketing projects for the assigned businesses – including but not limited to call reports, processing of approvals/payment trackers/documentation etc
    • Maintain the security of all information entrusted with, and ensure full compliance with all principles and policies in IS Handbook
    • Supervise all assigned marketing services executives to ensure that objectives are met

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • Minimum Education:   Graduate Degree in Social Sciences/Humanities or related discipline
    • A post-graduate qualification in Marketing or a relevant professional certification (e.g. from CIM UK or NIMN) will be an added advantage

    Experience

    • Minimum experience: 4-6 years’ experience in integrated marketing communications, preferably in brand advertising or fast – moving consumer goods marketing. Prior experience in financial services products/channels marketing will be advantageous

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage media advertising budget of over N750m
    • Look at the bigger picture to the bank’s media investment
    • Be the best media negotiator in the market achieving more with less
    • Identify the best mix of media channels to deliver advertising message to target audience using research data to ensure maximum exposure for available budget
    • Analyze and research target audience's character, purchasing and media habits
    • Maintain contacts with media owners, ensuring statistics, circulation and viewing figures are up to date
    • Adjust media schedules in response to the latest audience figures as well as product movements, manage budgets and update stakeholders on the effectiveness of campaigns
    • Present media proposals, including timings and cost breakdowns, helping stakeholders to reach a final decision about their future advertising strategy
    • Appropriately time media activities, based on usage patterns and seasonal factors
    • Optimize advertising mileage from media buy that contribute to the implementation of group marketing objectives
    • Monitor owned outdoor sites across the country and ensure group campaigns are displayed in line with contracts signed
    • Conduct analysis to measure ROI on bulk buy and out-of-home deployments, preparing monthly reports on advertising spend across all ATL channels.

    • Higher degrees (MBA)/professional Certification will be an added advantage 

    Experience

    Minimum experience:

    • 8 years working experience with a minimum of 4 years cognate experience in a leadership role
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
