    CBT Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Cash Based Transfer Officer will efficiently implement cash-based/ in-kind responses, and also perform specialized and/or standardized Cash-Based-Transfer (CBT) program-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.
    • To provide guidance and support to the government and partners in implementing WFP plans. Part of the responsibility includes traveling to remote field.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                  

    • Apply technical knowledge and skills to implement and/or assist in the community delivery of cash-based/in-kind programs. 
    • Promptly identify and recommend solutions to cash-based/GFD technical issues
    • Participate on the on-job training of how the e-voucher system works, how to handle data, and accurately use the e- devices (e-voucher reader, Smartphone with application, and e-voucher) including the handover process with the vendors 
    • Participate on the on-job training on GFD and beneficiaries' rationing/entitlement 
    • Participate in the process of identifying beneficiary communities/targeting based on robust and participatory criteria if any
    • Ensure appropriate community messages are transferred to clients, local government partners, vendors, non-clients, and other key actors 
    • Ensure training/re-orientation of the vendor staff e-voucher system (how it works, synchronization, handling including the safe keeping of e-devices) until hand over of the e-devices to CARE
    • Ensure the conduct of beneficiary feedback and response mechanism (BFRM) activities are undertaken and serve field focal point for handling the BFRM database. 
    • Work with and provide timely technical support to CARE’s implementing partners; maintain encouraging and constructive relations with partner staff
    • Closely work with all CARE field teams in general and with other partners on how to integrate and align cash programming with other partners' activities and priorities 
    • Fully align with CARE safety and security procedures and provide support to security monitoring and assessments to ensure a safe and secure environment for program implementation
    • Coordinate the cash transfer assistant.

    Project Monitoring and Reporting

    • Assist in the collection of data, conduct assessments (needs, market, risks, and security), and provide input for concept note/ proposal development for cash transfer project in collaboration with the local community structures and community members
    • Monitor progress against grant work plan; promptly identify any current or potential delays
    • Produce/give CARE and donor reports as per set schedules (monthly, quarterly, and annually) on grant activities, indicators, and achievements.
    • Assist his/her supervisors to ensure all monitoring activities are fully detailed, including systematic and timely data required under the grant and for CARE M&E purposes.

    Capacity Building and Coaching:

    • Aware the communities and partners to consider cash response as one modality at the appropriate situations.
    • Capacitate the community facilitators, staff under his/her supervisee, and others (if any) on cash Transfer Programming.
    • Support and mentor the vendors to meet the humanitarian principles during Cash Response program/facilitating the payment to the beneficiaries.

    Coordination and Representation

    • Participate on seasonal and FSS cluster assessments and share findings.
    • Work integrating with CARE warehouse, finance, procurement, and admin/HR staff to process Purchase Requests, and Payments.
    • Represent the CARE on coordination meetings at different level like LGA, community, and wards.
    • Build very good team spirit with CARE program and supporting staff at field and at office.
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop CARE programs.

    Required

    • University degree/HND in any of the following disciplines: Agricultural Economics or related field. 
    • At least 3 years of experience in connection with project management in the food security and/or livelihood sector, and preferably in a non-governmental organization of humanitarian and international character 
    • Previous experience in food distribution supervisory field is preferable.
    • Ability to write reports
    • Able to work outside of regular working hours as required, including evenings and weekends if required.

    Nutrition Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Nutrition Officer will provide technical and operational support in the implementation of nutrition-specific program as well as contributing to meeting the nutrition needs of WFP/CARE project participants in North East Nigeria.
    • The incumbent will support the design/review, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as knowledge management of activities relating to nutrition-specific interventions with a particular emphasis on maternal and child nutrition, nutrition in emergency, and comprehensive nutrition services interventions (CNSI) package

    Key Duties and Responsibilities                                           

    • Plan and monitor the Nutrition program, verify the planned movements and distribution of nutrition products, resolving routine issues and/or escalating where appropriate, to ensure that the quantity distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with the standards.
    • Summarize Nutrition data, conduct analysis and prepare reports to support program reviews and informative decision-making.
    • Improve the field staff/monitoring processes and procedures for efficient implementation of Nutrition programmes.
    • Assist in developing and expanding malnutrition prevention activities by promoting IYCF and raising awareness in targeted areas.
    • Strengthen eternal stakeholder engagement including district local governments to strengthen nutrition programming
    • Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure CARE/WFP can quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.

    Project Manager (GBVIE & SRHR)

    Job Summary

    • The Project Manager will be responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the implementation of CARE’s FCDO funded GBViE and SRHR activities in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.
    • The holder of the position will take the lead in developing workplans, planning and implementing all GBViE activities including supervising staff, budget management, managing women and girls safe spaces and community-based protection responses.
    • The Project Manager will also be responsible for engaging with relevant stakeholders and local authorities, and in providing capacity-building trainings related to key GBViE and protection concepts. The PM will also be in charge of supervising and managing day to day coordination with and implementation with the local partner.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

    Planning and Implementation of GBViE/SRHR/WLiE Activities in all project locations

    • Coordinate project team planning activities, including the development of annual, semi-annual and quarterly work plans.
    • Oversee implementation of assigned GBV and SRHR project guided by the approved project documents. This will entail developing and updating detailed implementation plans, work plans and procurement plans and ensuring strict adherence to such plans. 
    • Provide leadership and direct oversight of all field level project interventions, ensuring quality and adherence to national and international protection and health standards, guidelines and policies
    • Ensure that the design and implementation of all of CARE’s GBV/protection and A/SRHR activities in assigned project locations address the priority protection needs of the internally displaced persons, host communities and other affected person. This will involve ongoing review and analysis of developments that have an impact on the protective environment in CARE’s areas of interventions. 
    • Oversee and support implementation of the WLiE methodology in the selected pilot locations alongside the WLiE Coordinator. 
    • Provide technical input in developing project proposals, concept notes & sector publications at the sector level
    • Work closely with the Gender&Protection and SRHR sector leads to inform program design and strategic direction

    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning 

    • Initiate, support and contribute to protection and GBV as well as SRHR and WLiE related assessments
    • Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management systems are in place for appropriate analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy. 
    • Regular monitoring project activities through a detailed activity implementation tracker and tools that ensures provision of regular feedback to the project team for learning and project improvement purposes. 
    • Assess for gaps in programming and providing suitable solutions to the identified needs and gaps. 
    • In collaboration with all response partners and GBVSS, contribute to analyzing the GBV trends and data to inform future program interventions. 
    • Contribute to development and regular review of tools and assessment outcomes for continuous learning including baselines, mid-term and end lines. 
    • Regular monitoring project activities through a detailed activity implementation tracker and tools that ensures provision of regular feedback to the project team for learning and project improvement purposes.
    • Initiate, support and contribute to project related assessments and surveys. 
    • Ensure the regular collection of data in the supported health facilities, compile in the database attendances, curriculum discussions and analysis of the data collected in order to make recommendations to the supported health structures.
    • Regularly participate in monthly tripartite meetings bringing together YMC, providers and community facilitators, CARE staff and the Health District to analyze the data, identify the difficulties encountered and help them find solutions.
    • Support monitoring and evaluation initiatives at selected facilities/communities including submission of monthly scorecards and quarterly reports.
    • Maintain and use strong monitoring systems to track and report on activities and results to support effective delivery of the AMAL goals.
    • Support in regular assessments of the Young Mothers’ Clubs facilitators and develop coaching plans for to improve capacity of the facilitators.
    • Ensure that the best practices identified during the conduct of activities at the clubs during the supervisory and exchange meetings.
    • Prepare high quality reports both internally and external (to the donor).

    Staff Management & Capacity Development

    • Develop and facilitate trainings and workshops for the project staff and other stakeholders that promote improved understandings of GBV and protection issues, SRHR, WLiE and ensure the observance of international protection and humanitarian law standards. 
    • Directly supervise and manage national regular staff including GBV Officer, Psychosocial Coordinator, WLiE Coordinator and Clinical Officers. 
    • In charge of recruiting and providing orientation for all new project staff including backstopping and immediate replacement in case of transitions
    • Support capacity building all project & partner staff on technical areas including WLiE, GBV, WGSS programming, ASRHR, Psychosocial support and relevant principles and standards in GBV implementation in displacement settings 
    • Provide on the job training and mentorship to staff including to ensure a healthy working environment. 
    • Lead performance management for all project staff by jointly setting performance objectives, reviewing performance progress and providing regular objective feedback to staff on their development

    Coordination, Advocacy, Networking & Representation

    • In coordination with CARE’s the sector leads liaise with state governmental officials, international and national organizations and camp management structures on behalf of CARE, and represent CARE in relevant coordination structures and promote positive working relationships with partner organizations.
    • Represent CARE in all GBV and health coordination forums by working closely with UNFPA and State Ministry of Women Affairs and MoH and other response sectors in designing responsive actions on GBV and ASRHR.
    • Attend & facilitate coordination and networking meetings with relevant partners, community leaders, support groups and other stakeholders on GBV activities. 
    • Regular coordination and meeting with key community structures and GBV/Protection networks to enhance community-based action and monitoring of trends in the LGAs.
    • Ensure that protection concerns are mainstreamed into other sectors of intervention implemented by CARE and other actors in relevant LGAs.
    • Lead in promoting a positive profile CARE’s Protection and GBV program among other sectors, partners, donors and the community members

    Budget Management

    • Prepare and monitor the detailed spending plans for the grant as per the work plan 
    • Manage the FCDO budget by following up on the spending plans in order to maintain program expenditure within the required budget parameters
    • Provide regular feedback to finance team to ensure correct posting, budget utilization and follow up. 
    • Work with the Grants & Finance team to support partners budget management and utilization

    QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    Required

    • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Gender studies, Public health, social sciences, law, social work, international development, or other relevant field from a recognized institution. Post-Graduate qualifications in areas related to humanitarian work will be an added advantage.
    • Advanced knowledge and at least 5 years of proven practical experience in partnerships with women rights/led organizations and in implementing and providing technical support to gender transformative programmes, including women’s leadership and political empowerment. 
    • IT Training in advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Acess); full proficiency in MS Office packages required.
    • Experience of working with women and men from different cultures and facilitating conversations around sensitive/taboo topics, such as masculinity, sexuality and power.

    • Highly developed analytical and inter-personal communication skills, including intermediate oral and written English communication skills, and sound judgment and decision-making.

    Clinical Officer

    Job Summary

    • The position will support the implementation of an integrated protection and health intervention with a focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including Adolescent SRHR.
    • The Clinical officer will be responsible for management of mobile health teams and collaboration with health workers in assigned primary health care facilities and communities in LGAs in Borno State. Under the supervision of the project manager
    • S/He shall mentor the CHEWS, nurses & laboratory staff, assess and support gaps in provision of sexual and reproductive health care.
    • S/He will support and ensure provision of quality clinical care to survivors of sexual assault and the implementation of Minimum Initial Service Provision (MISP) for SRHR in emergencies. Working in active collaboration with the State Ministry of Health (SMOH) and Primary Health Care Development Agency to support renovations of health facilities and ensuring adequacy of medical supplies as well as overseeing partner implementation of Adolescent SRHR

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

    Technical and Program Support to Health Facilities                                     

    • Provide technical and program support to ensure quality provision of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) services in primary health facilities and mobile clinics.
    • Management of mobile health clinics and teams including service provision and overall day to day running of the clinics.
    • Provide management of the implementation of Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for SRHR in emergencies
    • Participate in provision of clinical care for sexual assault survivors (including CMR)
    • Support in the development of a costed project work plan, budget and develop a weekly work plan and movement plan for activities in the facilities and communities.
    • Capacity building for service providers through training and retraining and continuously identifying other training needs for quality program implementation.
    • Develop Training TORs, SOPs, budgets and contracts and advance requests guided by work plan and budget and liquidate expenses after the training with support from the PM.
    • Represent CARE at all relevant technical external task forces, working groups, seminars, and where possible forge alliances to influence key actors around advocacy for SRHR (including ASRHR) in the State

    Quality Control and Assurance     

    • Conduct regular skills assessments and provide data-driven supportive supervision of healthcare providers/CHEWs, midwives, mobile health teams and any other as may be required and undertake competency-based skills development and mentoring for health care providers.
    • Ensure that the facilities and mobile health teams have the right commodity, consumables, and medical supplies to make sure there is no stocks out at any point in terms of last-mile supply chain management to support SRHR services
    • Oversee and monitor rehabilitation of state primary health facilities.
    • Oversee partners in the implementation of Adolescent and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) particularly the Adolescent Mothers Against All Odds (AMAL) initiative.
    • Request for relevant and up to date IEC/BCC materials and job aids for all facilities.
    • Ensure that good quality weekly and monthly reports and returns are submitted to the PM and relevant government authorities as stipulated in the regulations and policies

    Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning                                     

    • Ensure the regular data collection using appropriate tools from the supported facilities, and entry into the relevant database for analysis of the data collected to make recommendations to the supported health structures.
    • Conduct regular visits and joint meetings with government officials to monitor and improve service delivery and implementation of the project. 
    • Support monitoring and evaluation initiatives at supported facilities/communities to strengthen the existing system and suggest best practices. 
    • Identify and documentation of appropriate success stories, experiences, best practices, and lessons learned.
    • Encourage sharing of learning and experience with the team, across the organization and with like-minded/peer organizations.
    • Maintain a good record keeping system and undertake continuous monitoring and regular evaluation of the project activities.

    Relationship with Staff/Management                                                               

    • Develop a good communication and interpersonal relationship with other project staff and CARE staff so as to manage and resolve problems amicably following appropriate communication channels and procedures.
    • Cultivate good working relationships with service providers, community, MOH staff, local CSOs, INGOs, UN agencies etc.

    • At least 3 years’ field experience in working with primary health care facilities, community health workers and coaching and mentoring on the job, preferable in SRH in emergency programming providing lifesaving RH/MISP package implementation.
    • Experience in CMR and other aspects of clinical care for sexual assault survivors
    • Ability to plan training sessions, provide formative supervision, monitoring and evaluation of medical activities.
    • Good communication and report-writing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities.
    • Good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite.

    Women Lead in Emergency Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • The Women Lead in Emergencies (WLiE) Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the WLiE project in collaboration with CARE Nigeria and partners.
    • They will manage partnerships with women’s rights/led organisations and support their adaptation and use of the WLiE model and toolkit. This includes supporting them to use participatory tools and approaches to support women affected by crisis to participate in humanitarian decision-making and emergency response and early recovery.
    • The WLiE Coordinator will also work with CARE staff and partners to build their capacity to support gender transformative programming in humanitarian crises.
    • The WLiE Coordinator will work with the MEAL colleagues to monitor and report on program activities and outcomes, and work with the CARE Global Women Lead team to document learning about the Women Lead approach and how it can be improved.
    • They will also participate in the CARE WLiE Network and coordinate with other CARE Nigeria gender equality and women’s empowerment programs to build knowledge and learning on what works to increase women’s voice and leadership in humanitarian and nexus programming and contexts.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

    Implementation of WLiE Approach                                 

    • Coordinate and conduct/support partners to conduct Rapid Gender Analysis on Power and Participation, with technical support from the Global Women Lead technical team.
    • Support project staff/partners to facilitate reflection and co-creation spaces with women in crisis-affected communities to analyze the barriers and opportunities for women’s meaningful participation in decision-making, response and early recovery, and to develop WLiE action plans to support women’s leadership, with technical support from Global Women Lead technical team.
    • Provide technical assistance to CARE project staff and partners to support implementation of WLiE Action Plans to support their voice, leadership and decision-making of women affected by crisis, and manage small grant activities as relevant.
    • Monitor and maintain quality of implementation of the WLiE project and consistency and coordination with other staff and partners implementing complementing programs and ensure regular and accurate reporting in accordance with the project requirements.
    • Budget oversight/management/reporting responsibilities

    Partnership Management and staff/partner capacity building   

    • Manage relationship with women rights/led organisations, including due diligence and grant management.
    • Guide and support CARE and partners’ staff to conduct capacity assessment for partners to identify their strengths and weaknesses in design and delivery of emergency response, and the use of the WLiE programming model for humanitarian response. Work with women led/rights organisations to strengthen their organisational capacity and independence.
    • Adapt and develop the Women Lead tools and materials, with support from WLiE global technical team, and provide training and other support in their use to staff, partners and women affected by crisis.
    • Facilitate reflection and learning sessions with CARE Nigeria staff on gender, power and participation, and on gender responsive/transformative humanitarian programming, in collaboration with REDI/GED/Social Analysis and Action focal points/specialist, and identify development needs.

    Collaboration & Learning    

    • In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator, use the CARE Gender Marker Self-Assessment Tool to improve the quality of gender integration at all stages of the project cycle and facilitate regular reflection on the gender transformative impact of the project. This includes considering protection risks and unintended consequences of programme activities and mitigating harm, such as an increase in violence, harassment and backlash for women and partners through program activities.
    • In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator and WLiE Global MEAL lead, develop WLiE M&E system, including adapting WLiE global theory of change and MEAL framework to project M&E systems, and design and implementation of baselines, midterm reviews and specific learning events, end lines and/or final evaluations.
    • In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator and WLiE global MEAL lead, develop a plan for on-going action learning to assess what does and does not work to support the voice and leadership of women affected by crisis, implementation of WLiE with women’s rights partners, feedback loops to modify the project implementation, and to document the process and promising practices.
    • In close consultation with MEAL Advisor and in collaboration with field staff, facilitate knowledge capture and exchange of learning on WLiE by CARE, partners and women affected by crisis.
    • Participate in the piloting of the Global Women Lead Initiative, including working with the Global Women Lead coordinators to document process and promising practices and disseminate learning.
    • Build relationships with, and networks between, women-led groups and organizations advocating for women’s rights, gender equality and women’s voice, and inclusive governance.

    QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    Required

    • Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Adult Education, Sociology or another relevant post-graduate qualification.
    • Advanced knowledge and at least 4 years of proven practical experience in partnerships with women rights/led organisastions and in implementing and providing technical support to gender transformative programmes, including women’s leadership and political empowerment. 
    • At least 3 years hands-on professional experience of working in emergency contexts.
    • Experience of working with women and men from different cultures and facilitating conversations around sensitive/taboo topics, such as masculinity, sexuality and power.
    • Demonstrated skills in participatory techniques, community mobilization and facilitation, gender and power analysis, planning and training.
    • Highly developed analytical and inter-personal communication skills, including intermediate oral and written English communication skills, and sound judgment and decision-making. 
    • Working knowledge in M&E, protection and accountability, report writing and documentation.

    Safety and Security Officer

    Job Summary

    • The role of the Safety and Security Officer (SSO) is focused on continuously implementing safety and Security strategies and protocols to ensure a high level of safety and well-being for all CARE International staff based in field location.
    • He/She will maintain a high level of contextual awareness of his/her operating area and strong coordination with Program and Program support teams at the field level.
    • He/ She will promote a strong Safety and Security culture at their field office(s) through continuous trainings and collaborative security assessments with all field-based staff.
    • The SSO will serve as the Safety and Security Unit (SSU) representative at field level and serve, when required, as the Safety unit representative on the Field Crisis Management Team.
    • The SSO will report directly to the Safety and Security Manager and will be an integral part of the Safety and Security Unit.

    Context understanding and Analysis

    • Analyse the parameters of the working environment by assessing the nature of the threats and CARE vulnerabilities in relation to the emergency situation.
    • Collect the necessary data and information to develop a comprehensive risk assessment.

    • Liaise with government, Army, Police, SSS (State Security Services), Local Heads and other key external stakeholders to ensure that CARE staff can maintain regular and safe access to program areas

    Incident Reporting and Management

    Training and Capacity Building

    • Coordinate training in safety and security ensuring that staff have the necessary equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid, communications means such as VHF radios, Walkie-talkie, Satellite phone..) and are trained accordingly
    • Ensure all staff understand and fulfil individual and collective responsibilities for safety and security
    • Ensure that the contracted guard force maintains a high standard of guarding for CARE office and residence, and when required take corrective action in coordination with the Guard force management

    Psychosocial Support Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • The PSS Coordinator will support the successful coordination & implementation of all psychosocial activities and will be responsible for the provision of quality case management. In addition, the PSS Coordinator will support training of partners, staff and partners staff to respond to cases of GBV in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states and ensure effective psychosocial support interventions for survivors of GBV.
    • This includes providing ongoing training and utilizing monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure high quality PSS services are available and utilized.
    • The PSS Coordinator will provide the technical guidance and leadership required for the successful implementation of all psychosocial activities.
    • This position reports to the Project Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

    Implement Quality survivor centred psychosocial support

    • Ensure provision of professional and confidential psychosocial services to survivors of GBV through a survivor-centered case management approach.
    • Develop professional, effective and appropriate GBV psychosocial programming, including direct individual and group counseling support.
    • Develop and ensure implementation of psychosocial activities that are responsive to the needs of refugee women, girls men & boys.
    • Assist with preparing all relevant reports regarding the CARE’s psychosocial activities.
    • Support partners staff on PSS activity planning and implementation
    • Ensure timely implementation of psychosocial programme activities.

    Supervision and Capacity building support 

    • Mentor and provide technical support to staff and partners’ staff directly involved with the psychosocial and care for GBV survivors.
    • Monitor and supervise psychosocial support trainings, including capacity building through training and on-the-job training. Training topics should include active listening and effective communication, action and safety planning, GBV guiding principles, Psychological First Aid, Basic counselling skills, Community based PSS approaches e.t.c.
    • Provide guidance regarding psychosocial activities to all partners and community workers to ensure all programme activities meet best practice standards.

    Community Engagement & Outreach

    • Strengthen and maintain networks with all partners including community leaders, women leaders, service providers to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners (protection, health, legal, and psychosocial sectors)
    • Support in conducting adolescent girls’ discussion sessions focusing on mental health and psychosocial support for girls in and out of school
    • Support community mobilization on the uptake of counseling services and support other GBV staff in conducting GBV awareness sessions in the community

    Strengthening Coordination and networking

    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including community members and leaders, NGOs, UN agencies, and other CARE team members to enhance multi-agency and multi-sectoral cooperation and coordination on response activities.
    • Maintain a strong working relationship with Health partners and other to support the provision of quality care to sexual assault survivors.
    • Support the development and strengthening of an effective GBV referral system and coordination mechanisms in all project locations

    Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Data, MEAL Officer will be a part of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team supporting implementation of the overall MEAL system.
    • S/he will assist the MEAL and project team with activities, including data collection, data entry, database management and analysis, implementing post-distribution monitoring (PDM), evaluations and other surveys, protection monitoring and information management activities and monitoring project activities as well as support all efforts for promoting a high level of beneficiary accountability including managing the feedback mechanism channels and support all efforts to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS: 

    Monitoring and Evaluation of GBViE and SRHR activities                             

    • Support in collecting data needed for reporting output and outcome indicators.
    • Support in conducting assessments as needed, facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data collection exercises.
    • Monitor activity implementation progress against objectives and work plans.
    • Support in conducting post-distribution monitoring with targeted beneficiaries of NFI/FI distributions and CVA including Multipurpose cash assistance.
    • Lead protection Monitoring activities related to Protection Information Management

    Accountability & Compliance                                                                                

    • Lead Feedback and Accountability mechanisms assessments with the community to ensure efficient use of preferred feedback channels by the community.
    • Conduct community visits, focus group discussions with beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries to receive feedback on project activities.
    • Maintain the Complains and feedback received and ensure a timely and appropriate follow-up or referral if needed.
    • Clean and validate data received from beneficiaries for complaint and feedback database and generate weekly summaries

    Data System Management                                

    • Responsible for record keeping and maintaining MEAL team updated data for the project.
    • Liaising with partners to ensure that the data management systems (GBVIMS+) are updated on a monthly basis and shared with UNFPA.
    • Ensure timely sharing of GBVIMS+ line data on a monthly basis to the GBV sub sector interagency focal person.
    • Participate in all interagency GBVIMS meetings to discuss trends and data sharing protocols.
    • Train & offer needed support to project GBV staff to use GBVIMS+ correctly & effectively system and other MEAL concepts.
    • Together with the Gender & Protection Sector Manager, work with the Protection sector Protection monitoring task team to develop/enhance a Protection information management system

    Learning, Reporting and Documentation                                                        

    • Work with the project team to ensure documentation of programme learning initiatives and outcomes (case studies, photos, lessons learnt, most significant change stories, etc.)
    • Participate in the dissemination of learning to other team members to ensure that good practice is understood and adopted.
    • Extract action points from field/ Activity reports and maintain and consolidate monthly action plan/feedback trackers.
    •  Support in archiving of programs documents at the field level.
    • Contribute to the timely and quality compilation and submission of project periodical reports (Weekly, monthly, quarterly, Annual and special reports) to the project Manager. 
    • Assist in the preparation of the project’s operations plans/work plans & reviews.
    • Prepare Quarterly PIM data collection, analysis and reporting in collaboration with the PM and the Protection Monitoring Sub working group

    Program quality improvement

    • Conduct field monitoring visits/spot checks as appropriate.
    • Support project staff during training by ensuring pre and post-test are done for all trainings and documented.
    • Lead Quarterly review meetings alongside the Project Manager

    • Experience in setting up and/or managing M&E systems, preferably in NGO setting.
    • Knowledge and/or experience of working on accountability initiatives, such as information sharing and complaints response mechanisms.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Power Point, Spread sheets and other Statistical software.
