    Team Lead- Business Development & Technical Sales

    Job Purpose

    • Responsible for identifying and converting technical sales opportunities for the Machine Shop’s products and services, driving revenue growth through client engagement, technical promotion, and collaboration with internal technical/production teams to ensure the successful execution of machining-related projects.

    Job Description

    • Identify and secure new business opportunities for machining services and engineered components within the oil & gas sector
    • Promote Machine Shop capabilities to operators, EPCs, and service companies
    • Build and manage a sales pipeline and track conversion from inquiry to delivery
    • Provide sales forecasts and periodic reporting for management decision-making
    • Establish and nurture relationships with OEMs, including securing new partnerships and supporting existing ones
    • Conduct market research to identify new clients, opportunities, and service areas
    • Collaborate with the unit head to align machine shop capabilities with client requirements
    • Contribute to technical and commercial proposals, bids, and client presentations
    • Facilitate product demonstrations, technical sessions, and workshops to promote capabilities
    • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the Machine Shop market segment
    • Monitor market trends in machining, repair services, engineered parts, and related oilfield tooling
    • Identify new applications, industries, and customers for Machine Shop expansion
    • Comply with all safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times
    • Provide general assistance to the head of unit and other technical staff as required

    Job Specification

    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field from an Internationally recognized tertiary Institution
    • Experience interfacing with OEMs, EPCs, and oilfield operators is an advantage
    • Strong understanding of oil & gas equipment, tools, or engineered products
    • Strong commercial negotiation and contract engagement skills

    Workshop Operations Lead

    Job Purpose

    • The workshop lead will support the Head of Unit in the operation, and maintenance of machine tools to produce precision components and parts in accordance with technical specifications

    Job Description

    • Plan and coordinate daily machining activities to meet project and client delivery schedules
    • Allocate machines, tools, and personnel to jobs based on priority and capacity
    • Monitor machine utilisation, downtime, and productivity KPIs and implement corrective actions
    • Interface with Business Development and Projects to align incoming work with available capacity and realistic delivery dates
    • Lead and supervise the operation of CNC lathes, milling, drilling and grinding machines (and operate machines where required).
    • Supervise the fabrication, repair, or modification of parts according to technical drawings, blueprints, or OEM standards.
    • Perform precision measurements to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Ensure timely completion of machine tasks to meet client and production deadlines.
    • Execute or supervise API/OCTG threading, re-cutting, and repair of casing, tubing, and premium connections
    • Ensure routine inspection, maintenance and calibration of machines, tools and gauges.
    • Identify faults and carry out minor repairs; escalate complex issues to the OEM
    • Maintain a clean and organized workshop area in line with safety standards.
    • Coordinate planned preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned machine downtime.

    Job Specification

    • A Minimum of OND / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or any related field from a recognized tertiary Institution.
    • Extensive practical machining/OCTG experience and proven supervisory track record, strong knowledge of machining techniques, measurement tools, blueprint reading, and OEM specifications
