Responsible for identifying and converting technical sales opportunities for the Machine Shop’s products and services, driving revenue growth through client engagement, technical promotion, and collaboration with internal technical/production teams to ensure the successful execution of machining-related projects.
Job Description
Identify and secure new business opportunities for machining services and engineered components within the oil & gas sector
Promote Machine Shop capabilities to operators, EPCs, and service companies
Build and manage a sales pipeline and track conversion from inquiry to delivery
Provide sales forecasts and periodic reporting for management decision-making
Establish and nurture relationships with OEMs, including securing new partnerships and supporting existing ones
Conduct market research to identify new clients, opportunities, and service areas
Collaborate with the unit head to align machine shop capabilities with client requirements
Contribute to technical and commercial proposals, bids, and client presentations
Facilitate product demonstrations, technical sessions, and workshops to promote capabilities
Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the Machine Shop market segment
Monitor market trends in machining, repair services, engineered parts, and related oilfield tooling
Identify new applications, industries, and customers for Machine Shop expansion
Comply with all safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times
Provide general assistance to the head of unit and other technical staff as required
Job Specification
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field from an Internationally recognized tertiary Institution
Experience interfacing with OEMs, EPCs, and oilfield operators is an advantage
Strong understanding of oil & gas equipment, tools, or engineered products
Strong commercial negotiation and contract engagement skills
