    Instrument Method Engineer

    Key Responsibilties

    • Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM’s) are linked to equipment preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Assist in populating and tracking project maintenance activities in Operations Readiness Plan
    • Participate in 3D model, layout, HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA reviews, providing pragmatic input through the lens of planning, Maintainability consequence to inspection and maintenance personnel.
    • Provide input in the selection, procurement, delivery, and preservation of spare parts.
    • Validate maintenance job plans and procedures. Ensures correct labour codes and hours are in CMMS covering all required trades.
    • Identify initial equipment and materials to purchase/stock to support maintenance as well as ensure. Maintenance Strategy is fully functional, and equipment/ spares are properly documented.
    • Manages the resource scheduling and smoothing within the maintenance & integrity of offshore operations.
    • Participate in the definition of long-term maintenance planning (includes time schedule and resources definition).
    • Process quality work orders and produce work packs, follow the Work Management system standard, that significantly attribute to safe and reliable operations.

    Supervision and Training:

    • Control maintenance activity through IPES (SAP),
    • Preparation of a training program for the trainees’ engineers in the frame of the identified needs and in accordance with recognized methods and strategies,
    • Training on Job examples and directly in contact with the maintenance of the FPSO,
    • Evaluation of trainees’ performances in the craft.

    Tasks:

    • To ensure the operation and maintenance strategy for equipment of the craft,
    • Management of craft related documentation: doc. Supplier, etc,
    • Participate in the studies of engineering,
    • Participate in the reception of the studies/developments/equipment for the discipline,
    • Assist with site operation as required: detection of the anomalies, diagnosis of the failures, installation of the plans of repairing of the equipment, validation of the technical solutions suggested,
    • Follow up of the trading of salesmen and/or suppliers,
    • Preparation of SD (Shut Down partial or complete) and other projects.

    Contractor Supervision:

    • Verification of the management of spare parts while complying with prescribed methods and strategies,
    • Follow up the purchasing of replacement parts,
    • Audit of these Contractors when required,
    • Supervision of maintenance contractor’s preparation and scheduling activity,
    • Technical follow-up of the SMC (Specific Maintenance Contract).

    Optimization and Development:

    • Carry out regular audits on site’s electrical installations, follow and work on clearing relevant punch list,
    • Contribute to the SERVICE field to integrate for future developments,
    • Contribute to training collaborators in the disciplines (guidance, training courses),
    • Proposition of improvement in craft maintenance strategy based on Site requests and needs.

    Management:

    • Provide relevant Lessons Learned to the respective trade (head office),
    • Contribute to the integration of future development,
    • Manage craft preparation team in their long and mid-term tasks’
    • Contribute to Budget elaboration and Planning’
    • Report on craft activities.

    Specific Professional Knowledge:

    • Mechanical: Gas Generators, Gas compressors, Hydraulic systems, Diesel Engines, Broad spectrum of pumps experience (all types), Air compressors and General Utilities equipment.
    • Electrical: All Types of inverters, high voltage cells, variable speed units, HV/LV drive motors, Electrical Distribution Network, Lighting, Electrical Power Generation and distribution,
    • Instrumentation: All Types of instrumentation, meters, Valves, F&Gs, ICSS, DCS and PLC systems 

    Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Equivalent of B.Sc. Engineering (2.1),
    • 10 years of general industrial maintenance, with 5 years assignment in the oil/gas or petrochemical industries,

    • Competence/experience in the craft (static and rotating equipment, electricity, instrument),
    • Experience in CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and Microsoft Office Suite

    ICSS Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for maintenance operations within his field of competence.
    • Ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with the company’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on site by the contractor
    • Guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment he is responsible.

    Key Responsibilties

    • In charge of System equipment that is used for control, shutdown, emergency and communication functions on the FPSO, working close with Supervisors as required on the job.
    • Ensure that the control systems are available and functioning to support operations
    • Train and mentor ICSS team members to work on control systems
    • Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain system equipment to ensure it is operating within design conditions, and at optimum performance
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the performance of system equipment, and initiate MOC’s (if necessary) to implement any improvements that are outside of the documented operating parameters
    • Use Diagnostic functions of the systems to identify detailed system information that can be used for troubleshooting purposes
    • Provide training and mentoring for all system equipment utilizing Operating manuals, Procedure Manuals, and any other training aids provided
    • Update and maintain system training materials (including Process & subsea simulators) used in the training of personnel, utilizing the appropriate MOC processes if necessary
    • Provide consistent, sound advice to Operators and Discipline supervisors regarding operation and maintenance of the System equipment, in a safe manner and in accordance with OIMS, codes, and good business practices.
    • Provide direction to Instrument Techs consistent with the vision, values, and beliefs of company operations
    • Operate and conduct first line maintenance on all system equipment, following approved procedures and practices
    • Ensure DCS configurations are current and backed up
    • Ensure SIS logic configuration is backed up on every download change
    • Ensure all other system device configurations are current and backed up
    • Perform the assigned duties (if any) identified in the Emergency Response Manual
    • The candidate for ICSS should have completed STS road map for ICSS tech
    • Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain system equipment to ensure it is operating within design conditions, and at optimum performance
    • Develop and or review work packages for planned maintenance activities on the systems, confirm isolation requirements have been applied correctly and equipment in a manner that provides a safe environment for personnel to work in
    • Support and encourage team effort between Maintenance, Engineering and Projects Groups
    • Support team members in the development of work permit requirements as discussed in the Work Management Manual
    • Assist in the development of team technical skills, enhance troubleshooting, process upset
    • Reading and interpreting project plans and procedures
    • Carrying out planned maintenance checks
    • Performs on site maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility
    • Manages intervention reporting using the CMMS ensuring accurate data input for the historical reporting on the work he actions
    • Ensures all worksites are clean and tidy on completion of works
    • Participates fully in Pre-work assessments and risk assessments and abides by the recommendations.
    • Responding to emergency calls
    • Verifies that all procedures, specifications and standards are followed
    • Ensures that the operations planned work scope is managed effectively in accordance with agreed targets to avoid disruption.
    • Ensures that day to day requirements are met with regards Scope, tool and means and onsite risk assessments.
    • Undertakes any other duties which may be required (within his competency) to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
    • Ensures that plant, equipment and materials stocks are monitored, and all required certifications are in place.
    • Identifies present and potential problems, reports and discusses, and proposes solutions/alternatives
    • Daily activities report to team coordinator.

    Methods:

    • Ensure that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during preparation of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility.
    • Warns supports teams of availability or quality of spare parts.
    • Keeps track of any backlog of work in his area of responsibility and suggests corrective measures to reduce backlog.

    QHSE Responsibilities:

    Professional Qualifications

    • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent
    • Possession of additional professional qualifications will be an advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations
    • A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
    • Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 experience and knowhow.

    Knowledge & Skills Required:

    • Good understanding of business leading practices, techniques and methodologies
    • Project Management: Ability to man project effectively with developed goals and procedures for its implementation
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and Excel

    Site Quality Control Inspector

    Job Summary

    • Administration of all Quality Control and inspection activities at Site for Notifications, Projects & Site Modification Requests.

    Key Responsibilties

    • Interface with Site management Team and Onshore Team for the Quality control / Inspection activities for welding, blasting and painting.
    • Ensure only the correct consumable (for welding, blasting and painting) as stipulated by the approved WPS / procedures are in use on site by the welders, blasters and painters.
    • Ensure only Qualified artisans (welding, blasters and painters) are deployed for all activities
    • Ensure continuous update of the welder’s qualifications.
    • Verifying conformity of the work to specified Quality Requirements and ensuring that the inspections and controls are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Procedure.
    • Controls coating and welding parameters and consumables during installation / construction activities,
    • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan by Construction team / Contractor.
    • Checks the availability and suitability of the filler material, preheating, welding, heat treatment, the bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders and taking any corrective actions
    • Carry out visual inspections, Verifies dimensional correctness and Monitors defect removal by Magnetic Permeability Inspection (MPI).
    • Ensure proper storage of all consumables (welding and Painting) and manage material traceability
    • Collate all (welding and coating) technical queries and report to Onshore QAQC Engineer for Response
    • Monitor the site Equipment calibration register to ensure only valid equipment are in use
    • Inspect all materials on arrival at site for conformity, Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
    • Take part in project meetings, where required prepare presentations, to give status of Inspection works etc.
    • Ensure proper close out report of welding and coating works in the form of weld history sheet and coating report to reflect the ‘As Built’.
    • Prepare and issue weekly and monthly report covering all quality inspection works on site.

    Accountabilties

    • Compliance with company’s HSE KPI & Objective and assist company in compliance with overall Client HSE requirement
    • Ensures Zero Quality Defects on all works and Issue NC Reports in the case of defects / Nonconformities
    • Responsible for all Quality aspect of Material Inspection, Welding, Blasting and Painting Works on Site
    • Prepares accurate reports for all site Quality activity
    • Participates in site project meetings.

    Professional Qualifications

    • Certifications – AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2): Welding Inspector; NACE II or BGAS CSWIP Painting
    • Professional experience of 5 years minimum in Petroleum industry.
    • Inspector Grade II
    • Conversant with the International Standards, Codes and Total General Specifications
    • Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages.
