    HVAC and Mechanical Supervisor

    About the Role

    • The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of mechanical systems and machinery.
    • This role includes supervising a team, ensuring maintenance protocols are followed, and troubleshooting when necessary.
    • It is critical for the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure all mechanical equipment functions efficiently and safely.

    Roles / Responsibilities

    • Supervise the routine maintenance and inspection operations for a facilities mechanical equipment, control systems, plumbing systems, power distribution systems and, HVAC systems.
    • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on all mechanical systems.
    • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
    • Supervise and coordinate mechanical engineers and technicians.
    •  Prepare reports on mechanical system performance and maintenance.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly
    • Train team members on best practices and now technologies.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc or HND in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
    • Successful trade  test certification
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Profciency in cost estimation software, MS Office Suite and MS project
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Ability to act competently in emergencies
    • Understanding how to read blueprints and system schematics.

    Experience Required:  

    •  Minimum of  three (3) years experience in mechanical engineering in a facility management sector is preferred.

    ELV Technician

    Roles / Responsibilities

    • Perform daily maintenance on electrical / Extral low voltage system systems, including CCTV Camera, Smoke detectors, Public Address system, , access control, Smart lighting and HVAC Control
    • Troubleshoot and repair of all ELV  equipment using hand and power tools.
    • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, inspect ELV components, .
    • Identify electrical / ELV problems with a variety of testing devices.
    • Follow blueprints to ensure that wiring  and equipment are installed correctly.
    • Conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures.
    • Responding to fault requests.
    • Identifying faults or hazards.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of trade test 1-3 certification
    • Experience Required: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a ELV maintenance in a facility management sector is preferred
    • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
    • Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
    • Ability to work in confined spaces.
    • Commitment to safety and quality.
    • Very good organizational skills
    • Very good communication skills.

    HVAC Technician

    Roles / Responsibilities

    • Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
    • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
    • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
    • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
    • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
    • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
    • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
    • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

    Qualification and Experience

    About the Role

    Facility Officer

    About the Role

    • Facility Officers are involved in several tasks to ensure that equipment within the facility are fully functional, maintained and repaired or replaced. 

    Roles / Responsibilities
    General maintenance:

    • A facility officer's primary role is to look after the facility and grounds of an organisation's property.
    • This includes ensuring the general upkeep of its facilities and equipment. 
    • Facility officers coordinate and log work orders and sometimes assist with maintenance work. 
    • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
    • Complete daily checklist of work performed
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the maintenance function

    Health and safety:

    • Ensure that the Facility and surrounding areas are safe. 
    • Ensure that the buildings meet all necessary health and safety standards. 
    • Responsible for ensuring that all assets consistently meet building regulations.

    Staff management:

    • Responsible for managing the organisation's maintenance staff. 
    • Coordinate, instruct and oversee third-party services to ensure they do their jobs correctly.

    Install New Equipment:

    • In some cases, machines that no longer work simply cannot be repaired due to the age of the machine or the cost of the repairs. It is then the responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to install new equipment and to perform checks following installation to ensure that all systems are in working order.

    Qualification and Experience

    • BSc or HND in Mechanical or Electrical  Engineering (Preferred)
    • Minimum of  four  (4) years experience facility management sector is preferred
    • Successful trade  test certification
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and electronic systems
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Ability to act competently in emergencies
    • Understanding how to read blueprints and system schematics
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Must be adapt in the use of Internet and E-mail
    • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software.
