    Hotel Accountant

    Job Description

    • Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, profit and loss accounts, and balance sheets.Conduct financial analysis to assess profitability and provide recommendations.
    • Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and business plans, including projected room revenue.
    • Transaction management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, handle cash handling procedures, and reconcile bank statements.
    • Payroll and taxes: Administer payroll, ensure compliance with tax legislation, and prepare tax returns.
    • Auditing and compliance: Conduct internal audits on financial transactions and operations.Ensure the hotel complies with all financial laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
    • Cash flow management: Monitor cash flow, chase late payments, and report bad debts.

    Hotel Cook

    Responsibilities 

    • Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
    • Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to hotelrecipes.
    • Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
    • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
    • Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
    • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect and sort:Receive and categorize soiled linens and uniforms from various hotel areas.
    • Wash and dry:Operate washing and drying machines according to hotel standards, ensuring proper chemical and water usage.
    • Treat stains:Pre-treat and remove stains from items before washing.
    • Finish and fold:Fold and/or press cleaned items to prepare them for distribution and use.
    • Quality control:Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, serviceability, and damage.
    • Perform minor repairs:Conduct minor sewing and mending of items if necessary.

    Receptionist

    Responsibilities

    • Greet, welcome, and check in new guests
    • Inform guests of policies during the check-in process
    • Answer calls and direct calls to appropriate parties
    • Relay information to guests, such as hotel rates, services, hours
    • Make reservations, confirm reservations, and cancel reservations if needed
    • Ensure guests are in appropriate rooms
    • Answer all guest questions
    • Field guest requests and relay to appropriate parties
    • Verify guests’ payment methods
    • Deliver room keys, give guests directions to their rooms
    • Maintain records of guest room bookings

    Housekeeper

    Responsibilities

    • Stock and sort supplies
    • Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms
    • Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries
    • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards
    • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
    • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required
