As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, visitors, and the surrounding environment within the manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and procedures to mitigate workplace risks and to comply with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
To ensure the compliance with health and safety regulations and staying updated on local, state, and federal policies, guidelines and procedures for all employees.
Develop and implement measures to mitigate identified risks, including equipment modifications, safety protocols, and employee training within the facility.
Create and maintain a comprehensive incident reporting system to investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Provide training and orientation programs for new employees on safety policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols.
Conduct regular safety inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify and correct potential hazards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (relevant certifications or training may be considered)
Minimum of 3 years proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety
Full responsibility for the operations of the onsite team
Manage moving processes that directly affect the team performance.
Dispatch team in good time and ensure all materials are intact for a successful move.
Excellent coordination of team onsite.
Resolve issues that may arise either at the office, on the way or onsite or report in good time to line manager
Swift and effective communication with the entire team to carry along on every process carried out.
Requirements
Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields
1 - 3 years work experience.
Prior experience, and proven track record of training and motivating teams
Excellent oral and written communication, time management, leadership and employee development skills
Exceptional database management skills, with a strong background in all Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for business communications
Project and program management experience.
