The position will support the implementation of a Food Security and Nutrition response, with a focus on Community-based management of Acute Malnutrition, (CMAM) for a CARE project in Yobe and Jigawa. Under the Supervision of the Program Coordinator, he/she will support the nutrition sector to deliver quality and timely CMAM program. He/she will identify existing gaps and bottlenecks in CMAM Interventions through surveys and assessments and subsequently support the re-design of specific interventions to improve CMAM service delivery. The incumbent will design a comprehensive training plan for all relevant staff at all levels, lead and supervise its implementation. Similarly, he/she will provide technical guidance and management support throughout project’s programming process to facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable results in accordance with the CMAM national and global guidelines and strategies. The position will support/coordinate the nutrition response/distribution activities in 4 LGAs of Yobe State (Karasuwa & Nguru LGAs) and Jigawa State (Hadejia & Jahun LGAs).

The CBT Officer will be responsible for managing the cash transfer component of the project, which will include designing, implementing, and monitoring the CBT activities to ensure that they meet the project's objectives and deliverables. The CBT Officer will work closely with the project team, implementing partners and stakeholders to provide unconditional food and cash assistance to food-insecure women, children, elderly persons, and people with disability affected by the crisis. The position will coordinate the CBT / distribution activities in 4 LGAs of Yobe State (Karasuwa & Nguru) and Jigawa State (Hadejia & Jahun LGAs)

The project coordinator will lead on the implementation of a flood response project which will deliver a food and hygiene intervention through cash vouchers, combined with hygiene promotion and other WASH components that are critical to stopping the spread of cholera and other waterborne diseases in the project location. The Project Coordinator position will ensure close and effective coordination with the MEAL and program teams, as well as program support teams to ensure CARE is able to deliver timely, effective and high-quality humanitarian responses directly or with and through partners based on the Country Office Program Strategy. The position will coordinate/supervise all the food security and nutrition response in 4 LGAs of Yobe State (Karasuwa & Nguru LGAs) and Jigawa State (Hadejia & Jahun LGAs).
