    Child Protection Supervisor.

    Duration : 6months

    For the next six months, GPON shall be implementing the project with funding support from the Nigerian Humanitarian Fund (NHF) Adamawa State.

    This is a six months project with possibility of an extension. We seek candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our humanitarian principles to the below position.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection programming, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of child protection case management and psychosocial support principles.
    • Experience working in humanitarian settings and with displaced populations is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and support a team of field staff.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri) is an added advantage.
    • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent reporting skills
    • Ability to coordinate with partners and community stakeholders

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide technical supervision and guidance to child protection caseworkers, animators, and community-based child protection structures.
    • Oversee and support the delivery of case management services, ensuring confidentiality, safety, and compliance with inter-agency guidelines (e.g., CPMS, BID, BIA).
    • Ensure all CP activities are implemented in line with the project plan and donor requirements.
    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities, provide mentoring, and identify capacity gaps.
    • Lead weekly case review meetings, providing technical input and decision-making support to caseworkers.
    • Support the design and facilitation of structured psychosocial support sessions for children and caregivers.
    • Facilitate training and on-the-job capacity building for child protection staff and community volunteers.
    • Participate in coordination meetings, including child protection sub-sector meetings at LGA level.
    • Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of child protection activities, including success stories and lessons learned.
    • Promote and ensure meaningful child participation in all program activities.
    • Identify and refer complex protection cases to specialized services or appropriate actors.
    • Ensure adherence to safeguarding and PSEA policies across all interventions

    FTR Field-level Supervisor.

    Duration : 6 months

    This is a six months project with possibility of an extension. We seek candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our humanitarian principles to the below position.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Lead the identification, registration, and documentation of unaccompanied and separated children in the target locations.
    • Conduct family tracing and verification of family links through community networks, CPIMS+/PRIMERO, or inter-agency mechanisms.
    • Coordinate and facilitate family reunification processes, ensuring that they are safe, voluntary, and in the child’s best interest.
    • Provide or facilitate the provision of interim or alternative care when reunification is not immediately possible.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in accordance with case management standards and confidentiality policies.
    • Work closely with caseworkers, community focal points, and social workers to support ongoing tracing efforts.
    • Coordinate with government and humanitarian actors involved in child protection, especially the Ministry of Women Affairs, NAPTIP, and National/State tracing networks.
    • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all FTR activities, including success stories, challenges, and key data for monitoring and evaluation.
    • Participate in and contribute to case conferences, inter-agency referrals, and child protection working groups.
    • Facilitate awareness and sensitization sessions on family separation, alternative care, and child rights within communities and IDP camps.
    • Support capacity building of community-based child protection committees and volunteers on tracing and documentation.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Bachelor\'s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Law, or a related field.
    • At least 2–3 years of experience in child protection programming, preferably in humanitarian or emergency settings.
    • Proven experience in family tracing and reunification, alternative care, or case management for vulnerable children.
    • Knowledge of CPIMS+/PRIMERO is an asset.
    • Strong understanding of child protection principles, best interest determination (BID), and safe reunification protocols.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a challenging environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Fluency in English and relevant local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri, fulfulde) is highly desirable.
    • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and case management systems.
