    Procurement Manager

    General Responsibilities

    • We are looking for an astute procurement Manager who is good at supervising procurement projects; purchasing activities and ensuring that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
    • The Procurement manager responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining positive supplier relationships,evaluating supply options, approving purchases and maintaining accurate records.


    • To supervise the procurement projects
    • To oversee and supervise employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
    • Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for the company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
    • To carefully select suppliers and the merchandise or services needed to meet customers needs
    • To supervise the Quality of supplies.


    • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies.
    • Following and enforcing the company procurement policies and procedures
    • Reviewing, comparing, analysing and approving products and services to be purchased
    • Build relationships with existing suppliers and find new ones offering the desired product at competitive prices.


    • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
    • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
    • Maintaining good supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.


    • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
    • Preparing budgets, cost analyses and reports
    • Provide information support to other departments in terms of procurement.
    • Study the new offers of suppliers
    • Determine the types of goods that must be withdrawn from the range or enter into it;
    • Ensure that Baobab always have promotional materials from suppliers
    • Control the performance of duties towards suppliers; advice sellers and sometimes buyers; control the movement of goods.
    • Review supplier claims and resolve conflicts; control product quality.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • In case of a decrease in demand for certain products, taking corrective measures with the marketing department.
    • Achievement of the required level of turnover
    • Business trips for dialogue with suppliers and Procurement
    • Research of new markets.
    • Fulfilment of individual official assignments of the management.


    • Degree in Purchase and Supply Management , Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, Development, Economics, Social Science or any relevant Degree
    • 3 - 5 years experience as a procurement officer or related position.
    • Proficient computer skills , including Microsoft office suite (word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and Manage time efficiently.
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail
    • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
    • Goal oriented, organised team player
    • Applicants should reside within the Lagos State (preferably able to work from Yaba Office of the Company).


    • Must be ethical and has no criminal or ethical or moral records in his or her previous works.
    • Analytical, practical mindset
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • PC proficiency at the level of the confident user
    • Knowledge of the basics of economics
    • Understanding of the transport, logistics and customs system.
    • Knowledge of English and other languages(depending on the specifics of the company).
    • Ability to handle large amounts of information
    • Stress tolerance and the ability to quickly make effective decisions
    • Knowledge of supplies and contractual terms
    • Effective planning and prioritisation skills
    • Mastering the basics of working in corporate information systems
    • Ability to negotiate

    Graphic Designer

    Main Responsibilities

    • A talented graphic / motion designer who can interpret concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print, online and motion media.
    • The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable.
    • Collaborating with multiple teams across the Group, the graphic / motion designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design/ visuals that connects.
    • The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding, communications, and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.
    • Have the ability to interpret the Brand Book.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Study design briefs and determine requirements
    • Conceptualize design / motion visuals based on requirements
    • Prepare and present ideas for online, print and video.
    • Develop illustrations, and other designs
    • Use the appropriate brand colors and layouts for each graphic / motions
    • Work with writers and HOD to produce final design
    • Test graphics across various media
    • Amend designs after feedback
    • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and in comformmity with brand rules.
    • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
    • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
    • Work cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include simultaneous projects.
    • Obtain input from HOD to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately

    Skills and Specifications

    • HND / Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications, or related field
    • 0 - 2 years experience.
    • Proven prior experience as a Graphic / Motion Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects especially with finance Industry.
    • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Figma,Illustrator, Adobe InDesign,Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Corel Draw, InDesign etc )
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to create motion graphics
    • A keen eye for details, articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions
    • Understand use of photography, stock images and adhering to regulatory frameworks.
