Product Designer at Bamboo

Job Scope:

As a Product Designer you will design and improve core product experiences across Bamboo’s mobile and web platforms, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape features from concept through to launch. This role contributes to both day-to-day product execution and broader product thinking, helping inform strategic decisions through design, user insight, and experimentation. As Bamboo grows, you will also help scale the design practice by improving processes, evolving the design system, and maintaining a high bar for quality across the product, while shipping features that directly impact users and business outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Help define and design user experiences for our web and mobile apps.
• Own the end-to-end design process for product features - from discovery and ideation through to delivery and iteration
• Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear, elegant design solutions
• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for new and existing features
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements and ensure high-quality implementation 
• Conduct and contribute to user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis
• Maintain and evolve Bamboo’s design system and practices to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability
• Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical realities
• Work with product management to define a successful, repeatable design and discovery playbook 
• Continuously refine and improve the product based on data, user feedback, and product insights

Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role working on digital products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design thinking, problem solving, and polished UI 
• Experience designing mobile-first products (iOS/Android) and responsive web experiences
• Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g. Figma)
• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, visual design, and accessibility standards 
• Experience working with design systems and component-based design
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and understanding technical constraints
• Bonus: Experience designing fintech, consumer apps, or data-heavy products
