    Environmental Specialist

    Job Purpose

    • To provide geotechnical expertise in the investigation, design, and analysis of ground conditions for infrastructure and building projects.
    • The role includes conducting site investigations, preparing geotechnical reports, and supporting the design and construction teams with technical input related to soil, rock, and groundwater behavior.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Conduct site investigations, including drilling supervision, sampling, in-situ testing, and borehole logging.
    • Perform geotechnical analysis and design (e.g., foundation design, slope stability, retaining walls, settlement analysis).
    • Prepare and review factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
    • Analyze laboratory test results and correlate them with field data.
    • Provide geotechnical input during planning, design, and construction stages of projects.
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure geotechnical aspects are integrated.
    • Support foundation assessments and advise on appropriate foundation solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Monitor and report on ground conditions during construction and provide technical support as needed.
    • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation related to geotechnical conditions.

    Requirements
    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • Minimum of [3–5] years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
    • Solid understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical site characterization.
    • Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W, Settle3, or equivalent.
    • Strong report writing and analytical skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Membership or eligibility for membership with a recognized engineering body (e.g., COREN, NSE, etc.).

    Key Competencies:

    • Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
    • Familiarity with ground improvement techniques.
    • Knowledge of environmental geotechnics or earthquake engineering is a plus.

    Hydraulic Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • Comprehensive knowledge of principles of Hydraulic structure design and structural engineering design in areas of bridges, high-rise buildings, telecommunication and overhead water-tank towers, etc. using steel, concrete and composite materials.
    • Construction Supervision. In addition, a first-hand understanding of Engineering Business, Marketing, Client relations & Project Management.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Will be responsible for providing technical support in the planning, design, and construction of rehabilitation, repairs, and/or expansions of existing water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations design solutions.
    • Will perform hydraulic modeling using a variety of programs.
    • Will design perform the Layout and design flow elements of both water and wastewater treatment plants.
    • Will serve as the QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor on projects.
    • Ensure project compliance with all AIM practices and quality and safety standards.
    • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.
    • Developing data analysis and developing deliverable reports.
    • Designs and construction supervision of other hydraulic engineering projects for control and use of water: Computes and estimates rates of water flow.
    • Designs and coordinates construction of artificial canals, conduits, and mains to transport and distribute water; and plans reservoirs, pressure valves, and booster stations to obtain proper water pressure at all levels.
    • Experience interpreting hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves and applicable control systems.
    • Experience with Hydraulic Simulation.

    Reporting:

    • Timely submission of the report for review to the GMD

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the related field
    • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software and CAD tools
    • Strong knowledge of hydrology, fluid mechanics, and open channel flow.
    • Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Membership or eligibility for registration with professional bodies such as COREN, NSE, or equivalent.

    Key Competencies:

    • Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, & Outlook)
    • Auto-CAD 2014, Auto-CAD Revit,
    • Structural Design Software (StaadPro, Tekla, Prokon, ETABS, SAFE, SACS)
    • Good command of the English Language (Oral &Written).

    Land Surveyor

    Job Purpose

    • To determine the required areas and volumes oflandand materials needed during construction.
    • To ensure that the construction takes place in the correct relative and absolute position on the ground. To record the final position of the construction, including any design changes.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
    • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Design Office Manager, QA/QC Engineer, or Project Manager.
    • Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
    • Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
    • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
    • Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
    • Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
    • Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
    • Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy.
    • Analyze survey objectives and specifications in order to prepare survey proposals or to direct others in survey proposal preparation.
    • Develop criteria for the design and modification of survey instruments.
    • Conduct research in surveying and mapping methods, using knowledge of techniques of photogrammetric map compilation and electronic data processing.

    Reporting:

    • Timely submission of report for review to the GMD/HOD.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum of a HND, B.Sc, M.Sc Land Surveyor.
    • Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in Civil / Structural Engineering.
    • Certification in NSPS.
    • SURCON Registered.

    • Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, & Outlook ).
    • AutoCAD, SurvPC, SurceCE, magnet Field, Geopro Field.

    Civil / Structural Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • To design, analyze, and oversee the construction of civil and structural engineering projects such as buildings, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure.
    • The Civil/Structural Engineer ensures all projects meet technical standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and review structural and civil designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications for various projects.
    • Perform structural analysis and ensure stability, strength, and rigidity of designed structures using software tools (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
    • Conduct site inspections, structural assessments, and supervise construction works to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
    • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., Eurocode, BS, ACI, Nigerian Codes).

    • Support the preparation of tender documents, feasibility studies, and technical proposals.
    • Investigate structural failures, material deficiencies, or site-related issues and recommend solutions.
    • Participate in value engineering, cost-saving proposals, and risk assessments.
    • Liaise with regulatory authorities for necessary approvals and compliance documentation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in civil and structural design and supervision.
    • Proficient in structural design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD).
    • Solid knowledge of civil works including drainage, roads, foundations, and concrete works.
    • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication and report-writing abilities.
    • Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., NSE, COREN) is preferred.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure or high-rise building projects.
    • Familiarity with construction site supervision and quality control procedures.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building principles is an added advantage.

    Quantity Surveyor

    Job Purpose

    • To manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for cost planning, estimating, contract administration, valuation of work done, and ensuring value for money while maintaining quality standards.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work
    • prepare and analyse project costing for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time
    • prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

    • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, NEC).
    • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
    • Good communication and report writing abilities.
    • Membership or registration with a professional body (e.g., NIQS, RICS, or QS Registration Board) is an advantage.

    Key Competencies:

    • Experience with post-contract cost management.
    • Familiarity with contract claims and dispute resolution.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
    • Strong understanding of local construction regulations and market rates.
