    Driver - Rotary Health Communities Challenge (RHCC)

    • We seek to recruit a Driver to be based in Abuja to support our RHCC project operations. The driver will be responsible for meeting the transportation needs of the office, an important responsibility, being entrusted with the lives of staff and sometimes visitors. Other responsibilities will include:

    Specific duties include:

    • Transporting project staff, project counterparts, consultants and other visitors to project sites, workshops/meetings, and various events in and around Abuja and or other states.
    • Ensuring the safety of passengers by courteously reminding them of safety practices while in the vehicle.
    • Performing or scheduling maintenance services and ensuring that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
    • Following up with vehicle maintenance regulations and licenses, and making recommendations to the Senior Administration Officer for necessary actions.
    • Reporting suspected vehicle malfunctions or issues.
    • Ensuring that vehicles are adequately fueled using office account.
    • Maintaining the vehicle/driver’s log book.
    • Updating all vehicle documents and checking vehicle insurance.
    • Running project office errands, such as document delivery, mailing, banking, customs clearance, bill payments, shopping for office supplies etc., as requested.
    • Supporting project staff in the field as required.
    • Assisting with maintenance of project office space, including re-arrangement of furniture and minor repairs of office equipment.
    • Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certification.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Driver and successful completion of a driving course, with a valid Nigerian Class D driver’s license.
    • Previous experience with an INGO or Corporate Private Sector (e.g. Bank, Oil and Gas, etc.) will be an advantage.
    • Self-motivated, courteous, and humble individual
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and availability to work outside of normal business hours, as required.
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, and proven ability to work in a team.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English desired.
    • Basic knowledge/familiarity with automobile maintenance
    • NGO experience desirable but not a mandatory.
    • Must currently have legal authorization to work in Nigeria.

    Global Program Leader, Diagnostics

    Description

    • We are seeking a dynamic leader to guide our Diagnostics (Dx) global program. This individual will serve as a key leader within PATH’s Product Development division reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer and working closely with our vaccines and medical devices programs.
    • The Dx leader will oversee a diverse global team of 26 employees operating across multiple time zones worldwide.
    • The PATH Dx program ensures that innovative diagnostics are available, accessible, and adoptable. We design, develop, and validate robust, easy-to-use, and purpose-built diagnostic tools in the lab and the field.
    • We help countries to integrate diagnostics into markets and health systems and create quality assurance programs to support their use.
    • We work with partners to ensure that diagnostic tools are deployed as part of an integrated and effective health system to guide patient care and public health programs.
    • We advocate for policies that make new diagnostic technologies sustainable around the world. 

    As the Global Program Leader of Dx, there are three primary areas of responsibility:

    • Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute a visionary strategy for the Dx program aligned with the Product Development division strategy, integrating organizational efforts, and identifying new areas of focus to drive positive global health impact.
    • Program Leadership: Lead, cultivate, and expand our collaborative global program, fostering an environment of empowerment, effectiveness, and integration.
    • Partnership Development: Cultivate and nurture relationships with international agencies, governments, private and public sector, and donors, fostering deep and lasting partnerships to grow the program to maximize impact and reach.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate with accountability to PATH's mission for improving health equity.
    • Provide high-level oversight for project implementation and evaluation, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of ethics and excellence.
    • Manage Dx's budget, reporting, and contribution targets, advocating for institutional resources.
    • Cultivate a unified, inclusive, and respectful global team culture, empowering team members to excel.
    • Provide emotionally intelligent coaching and mentorship to senior leadership, facilitating problem-solving and innovation.
    • Represent PATH externally, serving as a spokesperson and liaison to stakeholders.
    • Advance collaboration within the Product Development Division and across the organization.
    • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and work with leadership to implement.
    • Mobilize resources to support employee growth, DEI, and other internal initiatives.
    • Directly support or lead projects.
    • Oversee lab research and clinical activities.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Degree in Product Development, Engineering, Science, Public Health, Medicine, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 10 years leading and managing teams in a health technology product development department with increasing level of responsibility.
    • Proficient in conducting market research to identify unmet needs, opportunities for innovation and then translating that into business development to influence stakeholders and advocate for sustainable solutions across diverse cultural populations.
    • Proven ability to build relationships with global health organizations, local stakeholders and other experts from various disciplines. Strong leadership skills, embodying a human-centered approach, coupled with exceptional emotional intelligence and people management abilities that fostered a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Proven success with resource mobilization and fundraising efforts.
    • Proven expertise in leading diverse and complex international partnerships.
    • Proven success in proposal development and donor engagement.
    • Prior experience working with or in relevant product development industry.
    • Prior experience overseeing lab and clinical (human-subjects) research and activities.
    • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices with an understanding of equity, access, and social determinants of global health.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Successful management of multi-project portfolios within budget constraints.
    • Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, estimated at 30%.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in a PATH country office location. Fully remote candidates in these locations will be considered.

    Project Director - Safestart +

    Description

    • PATH is seeking a qualified Project Director to lead the anticipated UNITAID-funded opportunity focused on expediting access to tools for the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and Chagas disease in endemic areas.
    • Grounded in the vision of ‘Triple Elimination,’ this approach emphasizes the integration of interventions for HIV with services for other sexually transmitted infections, optimizing resource utilization and enhancing uptake.
    • The Project Director will have the primary responsibility for the overall technical and managerial requirements of project performance.
    • The Project Director will oversee project implementation and ensure the project meets stated goals and reporting requirements and strengthens global leadership and impact. They will also have principal responsibility for representation of the project to UNITAID.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide overall leadership to the project team, technical and operational aspects of the project, including planning and implementation of the project.
    • Provide high quality strategic and technical leadership and vision to guide the development of technical and programmatic activities and project work planning.
    • Ensure that all partners involved in the project are aligned with the project's goals, objectives, and timelines. This includes establishing clear lines of communication and fostering positive working relationships with external partners to ensure effective coordination throughout the project's lifecycle.
    • Serve as the liaison with UNITAID, global and regional partners, and other donor and development agencies (e.g., WHO, Global Fund).
    • Manage effective and efficient use of project resources to achieve the desired results of the project, monitoring the workplans and budgets/finances in accordance with UNITAID and PATH policies and procedures.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial and programmatic reporting to UNITAID as required, aligned with project objectives and in compliance with relevant SOPs and policies.
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to project staff to achieve project goals and develop leadership capacity.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government counterparts, public, private, and implementing partner organizations, on project matters.

    Requirements

    • Master's or other advanced degree (PhD, MD) in Public Health or another relevant field with demonstrated experience in midwifery, obstetrics, or pediatrics.
    • At least 10 years’ experience in international health programming, including at least 5 years’ experience in senior-level management positions and experience leading large and complex projects.
    • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience providing technical assistance and conducting work in several of the following areas: prevention, diagnostics, and treatment research of HIV, syphilis, and viral hepatitis, antenatal care, monitoring and evaluation, operations research, and advocacy.
    • Proven ability to network and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and to build collaborative relationships with donors, host-country governments, and local and international health and development agencies.
    • Demonstrated experience in effectively engaging partners and managing multi-partner consortia.
    • Strong project and personnel management skills.
    • Previous experience working on UNITAID programs and working knowledge of UNITAID regulations preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience successfully leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve health results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to plan, organize, and manage resources for successful completion of projects.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
    • Ability to interact professionally in French preferred.
    • Available to travel nationally and internationally up to 25%.
