    Division Officer (Oil Palm)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficiency in land management, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
    • Implement best agricultural practices, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
    • Manage farm operations from planting to harvesting, ensuring optimal yields and quality.
    • Oversee the management of the oil palm plantation, including land preparation, planting, and maintenance to optimize land use and maximize yields.
    • Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to control pests and diseases.
    • Report on daily programs, weekly output, and monthly performance in line with company requirements.
    • Manage the farm division’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
    • Monitor and control costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
    • Manage the irrigation system to ensure adequate water supply while implementing water conservation measures to minimize waste.
    • Ensure compliance with quality control measures and food safety standards.
    • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Implement measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental damage, fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
    • Ensure compliance with sustainability standards by implementing sustainable agricultural practices, including conservation, biodiversity, and soil management.
    • Lead and manage a team of farm managers, supervisors, and labourers by providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity within the team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or related field. Experience:
    • 3 - 7 years of experience in oil palm plantation management.

    Management Experience:

    • At least 2 years in a management role in a farm or plantation setting. Professional Certificate:
    • Certified Agricultural Technician (CAT).
    • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).
    • Certified Professional Agronomy (CPAG).
    • Certified Management Professional.
    • Certified Environmental Professional.

    Chief Agric Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement best-practice agronomic strategies for oil palm cultivation, from nursery to harvest.
    • Supervise planting programs, spacing, field layout, and plantation maintenance across all estates.
    • Monitor crop health and respond to pest, disease, and nutrient deficiencies with evidence-based interventions.
    • Conduct regular soil and leaf sampling and analysis.
    • Formulate and supervise fertilizer programs tailored to field-specific needs.
    • Ensure efficient nutrient application and soil improvement strategies.
    • Design and manage integrated pest and disease control programs.
    • Implement sustainable weed control strategies and herbicide safety protocols.
    • Establish and monitor yield targets per hectare.
    • Supervise bunch census and provide accurate yield forecasts.
    • Ensure timely harvesting and efficient evacuation of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) to the mill.
    • Plan and maintain field roads, drainage, and other essential infrastructure.
    • Supervise use and maintenance of plantation equipment and mechanization tools.
    • Manage plantation logistics in coordination with mill and transport teams.
    • Ensure all agricultural practices comply with local environmental regulations.
    • Promote reforestation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable land use.
    • Lead certification processes and stakeholder audits.
    • Design and conduct regular training programs to upgrade team capabilities.
    • Monitor Labor productivity and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
    • Integrate digital tools (GIS, drones, ERP systems) into plantation monitoring and planning.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agriculture Engineering, or related field.
    • Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
    • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Agricultural management.
    • Proven track record of success in Agricultural operations.
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with Agricultural industry trends and best practices.

    Desirable Certifications:

    • Certified Professional Agronomist (CPA).
    • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).
    • Certified Agricultural Consultant (CAC).
    • Other relevant agricultural certification

    Assistant Division Officer (Oil Palm)

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or related field.
    • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Agricultural Economics, or related field (optional).

    Experience:

    • 3- 5years of experience in oil palm plantation management.
    • Certification is an added advantage.
