Background
Project Overview:
- COOPI, in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and funded by the Mastercard Foundation, is in its 4th year of implemention on a 5-year project to strengthen agricultural value chains (sorghum, millet, soybean, groundnut, horticulture) and create 28,000 sustainable jobs (70% young women, 30% young men) between 2025 – 2026 across six LGAs of Yobe State.
- The project integrates climate-smart agriculture, enterprise development, and market linkages, with a focus on gender equity, youth employability, resilience to climate shocks/conflict, and private-sector engagement.
Position Overview:
- The Community Outsourced Workers will support field implementation, monitoring, and community engagement in Yunusari LGAs.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Mobilization & Sensitization:
- Mobilize and sensitize targeted project participants (men, women and, youth) across all LGAs.
- Facilitate community feedback mechanisms to enhance program responsiveness
- Support targeting activities in their assigned LGAs
Field Monitoring & Activity Implementation:
- Monitor project activities at the field level in assigned LGAs.
- Conduct regular field visits to verify activity implementation and document challenges/successes.
- Provide timely weekly updates on monitored activities, including community feedback/complaints.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:

Job Description
- The Nutrition Assistant will be responsible for planning and implementation of nutrition-specific activities under the food security and nutrition operation area in Yobe focusing on IDPs and vulnerable host communities.
- He will ensure comprehensive mobilization of the community for nutrition screening of children under five, forming and monitoring support groups, and comprehensive SBCC/IYCF training.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Officer and in collaboration with the Project Managers, Nutrition Team Lead, and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, they will:
- Perform screening of the nutritional status of children under two in their designated locations and refer MAM/SAM cases to health/CMAM centers
- Represent COOPI at the community level and maintain active engagement with community structures.
- Ensure collaboration with other partners, actors, and community gateways at the LGA level
- Ensure liaison with existing community structures, (groups and individuals, women groups, religious leaders where possible.
- Maintain good working relationships with health facilities in the LGA so as to facilitate access to health services for Beneficiaries when the need arises.
- Provide training on nutrition (IYCF) and hygiene practices
- Referral of all malnourished children to appropriate nutrition centers for onward management.

Overall Responsibilities
- The Cash Base Transfer Officer will be responsible for efficiently implementing cash-based transfer assistance.
- He will also perform specialized and standardized cash and voucher interventions program-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the GFD/CBT Team Lead, and in collaboration with the Deputy Project Manager, Project manager, and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, he will:
- Facilitate community mobilization, meetings, and trainings before the redemption and cash out activities;
- Work with Food Management Committees to ensure COOPI and WFP receive feedback from the beneficiaries on the project, including information on complaints related to food quality and conduct of the vendors/agents.
- Sensitize the beneficiaries so that they are aware of project objectives, project modalities, entitlements, right to complain, complaint modalities and redemption/cash out days.
- Represent COOPI in the field with community leaders, local authorities, other humanitarian actors. Conduct regular meetings with such entities, prepare minutes for sharing with the GFD/CBT Team Lead /Deputy Project Manager.
- Work closely with community structures to follow up on implementation of cash transfers, by maintaining and/or expanding COOPI’s community outreach to ensure beneficiaries have one communication channel with the CBT team.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the Field Monitors by ensuring their presence in the field, keeping track of their attendance, submitting accurate information for their payment at field level and providing instructions to them on the planned activities.
- Build the capacity of the CBT Field Monitors to ensure project quality, providing regular training/coaching.

- Lead the market assessment to ascertain the market price and most profitable skills in the intervention locations.

- Coordinate and supervise the monitoring of monthly redemption and cash out activities: conduct market price monitoring, conduct vendors’ price monitoring, shop monitoring, ensure that beneficiaries receive their full entitlement and they are treated with dignity and not taken advantage of.

- The Help Desk Assistant will provide support to the implementation, monitoring, and accountability of COOPI Multi-sectoral Programs in Northeast Nigeria across different donor-funded interventions.
Scope of the Position

Scope of the Vacancy

Minimum Requirements:
