    Communication Officer

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop, support, and promote CFHI organization goals, including message development, social media content creation and media outreach.
    • Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase CFHI visibility among stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, investors, and customer audience that will help advance CFHI’s work.
    • Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them.
    • Ensure digital marketing content aligns with CFHI brand’s identity and message and assist with marketing campaigns as needed.
    • Provide editing quality assurance for all CFHI’s IEC materials to ensure written text is free of errors.
    • Design infographics, newsletters, annual reports, proposals, brochures, and any other documentary.
    • Publish CFHI’s work online; e-mail copy, infographics, video scripts, social media posts and other content.
    • Hardware repairs
    • Update CFHI’s website regularly.
    • Produce a monthly newsletter covering CFHI’s work in the head office at Abuja, and in other states where it operates.

    Others:

    • Select and work with external vendors, including graphic designers and printers and liaise with relevant print and news media to cover relevant CFHI’s programs
    • Actively participate in the implementation of project activities where your specialized strategic information and communication skills are relevant.
    • Ensure all staff systems are always in good condition.
    • Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Director or her Designee.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Social / Health Science, Information Communications Technology, Public Administration, Mass Communication, Health Communication, or any related discipline.
    • Experience in graphic designs, photography, and videography.
    • 2-3 years of experience in writing and editing content for digital and print.
    • Demonstrated skills in documentary and online research.
    • Experience working and reporting on results for donor funded public health projects.
    • Advanced skill with technologies and software such as Microsoft Office.
    • Advanced skills in graphic designs especially Corel draw and Adobe Photoshop.
    • Expertise with clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong negotiating skills.

    Program Officer (Nutrition, Health, Care and Support)

    Location: Owerri, Imo

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure 100% of HIV infected children on CFHI Care and treatment portfolio in target LGAs are enrolled in the 4GATES OVC program.
    • Direct community volunteers /case managers towards overall technical quality - including adherence to technical standards, best practices, and donor guidelines for all HIV Prevention Care & Support activities of the project.
    • In collaboration with community volunteers /case managers, implement evidence-based health and nutrition interventions to indigent households by responding to identified prioritized health, nutrition, and PSS needs.
    • Work with community volunteers /case managers in using national guidelines wherever possible to provide vulnerable households with access to quality healthcare, nutrition, and PSS.
    • Provide health and nutrition training and supervision to all relevant staff and CVs.
    • Conduct IYCF training and collaborate with community volunteers /case managers to implement relevant activities
    • Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of project efforts, achievements, lessons learned and innovations within the 4GATES OVC Program
    • Ensure timely preparation of high-quality training and meeting reports.
    • Contributes to the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual work-plans Supervision and Mentoring
    • Contributes to the development of daily, weekly and monthly reports.

    Others:

    • Provide regular supportive supervision to the community volunteers /case managers to ensure the achievement of expected results.
    • Represent the CSO in external technical meetings, conferences, and workshops related to HIV Prevention Care & Support
    • Liaise and coordinate with other HIV Prevention Care & Support actors, including LG SACA, PHCs, PMTCT sites, TBAs and other NGOs, learning institutions and civil society actors to promote synergy, share lessons learned and avoid duplication.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • BSc in a relevant health degree and a minimum of 2-3 years technical experience with community-level HIV Prevention, Care & Support programs
    • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with government and community volunteers /case managers as well as transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through workshops, training, and meetings using participatory methods and adult learning principles.
    • Experience in supporting HIV Testing and Counselling programs in health facilities, mobile units, and community outreaches
    • Good knowledge of the Government of Nigeria HIV Care and Treatment guidelines (Paediatric & Adult)
    • Familiarity with the terrain
    • Familiarity with OVC programming and principles.
