The ideal candidate must understand the financial dynamics of logistics, fleet operations, fuel management, and service-based billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise junior accounts staff.
• Review receivables, payables, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and support financial reporting.
• Monitor operational costs including fuel, maintenance, and fleet-related expenses.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• 5–8 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics, haulage, transport, or service-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and cost control.
• Practical understanding of operational accounting (fuel, fleet expenses, productivity).
• Proficiency accounting softwares e.g sage 50
• High integrity, leadership ability, and attention to detail.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to manage customer accounts, reconciliations, and productivity-related billing controls. The ideal candidate must be accurate, analytical, and experienced in handling receivables within an operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and outstanding balances.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of debtors’ accounts and prepare aging analysis.
• Reconcile productivity, fuel (AGO), and shortage reports with pre-invoices.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues for timely resolution.
• Support basic ledger postings and month-end adjustments when required.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting role.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel and accounting softwares.
• High attention to detail and sense of accountability.
