    Community Liaison Focal Point

    Location: Borno and Yobe Borno State (Dikwa, Marte, Damboa, Kondug, Gwoza, Monguno, Ngala, and Gujba/Damaturu)
    Job Field: Non-Profit.

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibility

    Functions / Day to day activities:

    • Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned stakeholder level engagements in the communities, local Government and state level as outlined in the Project detailed implementation plan in line with TBSF program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
    • Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. 
    • Assist TBSF partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences related to stakeholder engagement.
    • Engage with stakeholders at the LGA levels to provide briefing and updates and secure necessary support for the project implementation. 
    • Ensure that essential feedback regarding the program from LGA and state level stakeholders is shared effectively and regularly with TBSF senior management.
    • Work jointly to create and sustain a consistent and unified TBSF’s approach to stakeholder engagement, stakeholder feedback and reporting for TBSF at the community Level.
    • Gather information relating to accidents and survivors of Explosive ordnance within the community of implementation and inform the supervisor.
    • Gather data relating to the impact of TBSF’s work through relevant reports and case studies/success stories
    • Submit clear, legible, accurate and timely reports and documentations to the Supervisor
    • Coordinate daily with the Team Leader, and report immediately any security incidents, significant change in context or deployment plans, and non-compliance concerns
    • Represent TBSF within communities, partners and/or other stakeholders as required
    • Any other duty as assigned by the team lead

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Liaison focal point, Public Relations Officer or similar role.
    • Must be an indigene of Borno and/or Yobe state 
    • Good writing and communication skills.
    • Excellent Liaison and negotiation skills.
    • Must be organized and practical.
    • Must be Friendly and understand child safeguarding. 
    • Must Speak English and the understand the Local languages of the communities of implementation.
    • Must be Young and Vibrant.
    • Must have a working laptop

    Desirable skills:

    • A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner
    • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and either Kanuri or Hausa.

    Information Management Officer (IMO)

    Location: Maiduguri, And Yobe Borno State (with frequent travel to LGAs where the project will be implemented).

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibility

    Functions / Day to day activities:

    • Manage project databases and information systems. 
    • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security. 
    • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports 
    • Produce maps, infographics, and information products to support decision-making. 
    • Support data analysis, reporting, and information sharing across projects. 
    • Maintain organizational information management systems and ensure timely reporting.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. 
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in information management. 
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or GIS software. 
    • Experience managing databases and developing dashboards. 
    • Strong analytical, visualization, and communication skills.
    • Owning a working laptop is an added advantage. 
    • Other duties as assigned by The Supervisor.

    M&E Assistant

    Functions / Day to day activities:

    • Support the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities. 
    • Assist in developing and administering data collection tools. 
    • Conduct routine field monitoring, data verification, and quality assurance. 
    • Compile, clean, and analyze project data. 

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, economics, public health).
    • At least 1 year of experience in M&E or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Own a working laptop.
    • Ability to travel to field locations within project implementation areas when required.
    • Strong commitment to data quality, confidentiality, and organizational values.

     EORE Instructor

    Location: Borno State (Dikwa/Marte, Konduga/Gwoza, Monguno, and Ngala) 

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibility

    Functions / Day to day activities:

    • Serve as the LGA/state Mine Action Team Lead and provide overall technical oversight of EORE activities at the LGA level. 
    • Provide technical guidance, support, training, mentorship, and supervision for the delivery of TBSF EORE interventions in line with National Mine Action Standards (NMAS) and TBSF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. 
    • Guide, coach, and mentor community facilitators and volunteers in the delivery of EORE activities in accordance with approved SOPs and relevant mine action standards. 
    • Ensure that EORE sessions are properly planned and delivered in conformity with approved SOPs, quality standards, and established safety protocols. 
    • Establish and maintain effective liaison and coordination with community structures, leaders, schools, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective EORE implementation. 
    • Deliver step-down training and provide ongoing capacity-building support to community facilitators and volunteers to strengthen their knowledge and skills in EORE delivery. 
    • Ensure that EORE sessions are appropriately targeted at identified at-risk groups, including children, women, men, farmers, returnees, IDPs, and other vulnerable populations. 
    • Ensure that EORE activities reach vulnerable and high-risk communities and populations affected by explosive ordnance contamination. 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily, weekly, and monthly EORE activities and submit timely reports as required. 
    • Represent TBSF in relevant LGA and mine action coordination meetings and forums and serve as the LGA Mine Action Coordinator when assigned. 
    • Perform any other related duties or tasks as may be assigned by the supervising authority.

    Requirements:

    • Must have a Training of Trainers certificate or Must be a certified TOT (trainer of trainers).
    • University degree or equivalent qualification in Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. 
    • Minimum of three (3) years of continuous professional experience in humanitarian Mine action. 
    • Fluency in Kanuri, Hausa, and other relevant local languages. 
    • Previous experience conducting EORE awareness activities and community-based EORE interventions. 
    • Relevant experience in community-based facilitation, mobilization, and engagement. 
    • Experience working with rural communities and diverse ethnic and cultural groups. 
    • Demonstrated understanding of humanitarian principles and practices. 
    • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision, while demonstrating accountability and responsibility for assigned tasks. 
    • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, courtesy, humility, and professionalism. 
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and diverse environments.
    • Must have a working laptop.

     Finance Officer

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibility

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    • Process accounts payable and receivable
    • Monitor bank transactions and reconcile bank statements
    • Support in budgeting and forecasting process
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, Donor and internal policies
    • Assist in internal and external audits.
    • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax and statutory obligations
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to Finance Manager
    • Contribute to financial risk management strategies.
    • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the Line supervisor.

    Requirements:

    • Strong finance and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and support sound financial decisions.
    • Minimum of 3 Years experience in finance or any related field.
    • Competence in preparing and reviewing financial statements and financial reporting in a structured, compliant manner.
    • Effective communication skills for collaborating with program teams, management, and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Quick book and Excel.
    • Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
    • Experience working with nonprofit or project-based funding environments is beneficial.
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
    • Own a working laptop.
