    Upper Primary Teacher

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Female Upper Primary Teacher to join our school community.

    The successful candidate will teach pupils in Years 4 and 5, following a well-structured British curriculum. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about pupil progress and committed to excellence in teaching and learning.

    Essential Requirements

    To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Must currently reside in Ibadan, within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho
    • Minimum of a B.Ed. in Primary Education Studies or a B.Sc/BA with PGDE
    • At least 3-5 years classroom experience, preferably in an international curriculum setting
    • Sound knowledge of English, Mathematics and Science
    • Good command of spoken and written English
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    • A genuine passion for teaching and pupil development
    • Confident in using and modelling the school’s handwriting scheme to a high standard

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons using school-provided resources and materials
    • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil progress
    • Maintain a tidy, organised and stimulating classroom environment
    • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s standards

    Salary and Benefits

    • Salary: ₦120,000 – ₦150,000 per month (depending on experience)

    Early Years Educator

    BIS is seeking to appoint an experienced Nursery teacher to work in our Early Years. We welcome applications from experienced Early Years Educators.As our Early Years Educator, you will be required to work with children ages 3-5.

    Qualification,

    Experience and Skills Required:

    Must be resident in Ibadan and live within commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan Minimum qualification required is (B.Ed/BA/BSc/HND/PGDE) in English/Early Childhood Education or related; gained from a reputable university; plus a diploma or certificate in Montessori Education Minimum 3 years post qualification experience and understanding of the British Curriculum gained from working in a similar role Be able or willing to learn to teach phonics Be able to teach early mathematics and literacy with clear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies Be able to support young learners with handwriting skills development

    • MUST have creative skills such as music, dance, drama, art and crafts You MUST have excellent English Language skills (clear written, reading and spoken)Be proficient in the use of basic computer skills such as MS Word and the internet to support your work and the children’s learningHave effective classroom management and teaching skills
    • Be confident in your abilities to engage children and extend their learning through play, enabling their emotional, social and educational development.

    • Be able to produce and maintain a high standard age appropriate classroom displays

    School Administrator

    We seek a well-presented, personable and composed School Administrator with strong communication skills, a warm and cheerful disposition and the poise to represent the school’s values in every interaction, while supporting the smooth running of our front office, admissions, communications and school management systems.

    This position focuses on operations, parent service and reports directly to the Curriculum Director

    Role Purpose

    To ensure the school’s day-to-day non-academic operations run efficiently and professionally, providing a welcoming experience for families and reliable administrative support for staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the front-office team in providing a courteous and welcoming experience for all parents and visitors.
    • Manage the admissions process from enquiry to enrolment, maintaining accurate records.
    • Update and manage the school portal, including pupil data, attendance, communications and reports.
    • Prepare newsletters, circulars and official communications to parents.
    • Coordinate logistics for school events such as open days, assemblies and celebrations.
    • Supervise the front-office assistant and maintain a friendly, efficient office environment.
    • Maintain up-to-date pupil files and registers, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Provide weekly administrative updates to the Curriculum Director on admissions, parent feedback and office activities.
    • Uphold school standards for courtesy, punctuality and professional presentation.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education/Management 
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in school administration
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using a school portal or data-management system.
    • Excellent spoken and written English.
    • Warm, approachable and organised, with good problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with British-curriculum schools will be an advantage.
