JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for leading the Bank\'s risk management efforts, overseeing all aspects of Financial, Operational, IT (cyber), and Regulatory risks. The role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing the risk appetite, and safeguarding the bank’s assets and customer data. The role provides strategic risk oversight, supports informed decision-making, and ensures alignment with the Bank’s regulatory requirements and long-term business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy in line with the objectives of Hope Payments Service Bank and CBN guidelines.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop policies and frameworks to mitigate technology-related risks, including data breaches, cyberattacks, and fraud.
- Establish frameworks, policies, and procedures to manage risks across all areas of the Bank’s operations.
- Advise senior management and the board on the bank\'s risk appetite and ensure all business activities operate within acceptable limits.
- Implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to minimize the impact of unforeseen events.
- Develop and maintain an effective fraud, financial, operational, market, sustainability, liquidity and technology risks management frameworks, ensuring early identification and resolution of risks events.
- Ensure compliance with all CBN regulations, guidelines, and directives applicable to payments Service banks.
- Manage market and liquidity risks to ensure financial stability and sustainable growth.
- Prepare and present risk management reports to the Board of Directors, senior management, and regulators.
- Utilize data analytics to assess and model potential risks, and design proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that processes and controls are robust across all business units.
- Maintain up-to-date risk register of the Bank
- Foster a risk-aware culture across the bank through training, communication, and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with the board of directors, executive leadership, and external stakeholders to communicate risk management strategies and outcomes.

EDUCATION/TRAINING PROGRAMS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ACA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
- An MBA or master’s degree in any business-related discipline is required.
- Certification in risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO ERM Framework will be an added advantage.
- Experience with BASEL II and III implementation is essential.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in a Risk Management environment (operational, market, liquidity) within the Banking and Financial Services sector.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Enterprise Risk Management Officer is responsible for supporting the Head Enterprise Risk Management in designing, implementing, and overseeing Hope Payment Service Bank Enterprise Risk Management framework to ensure effective identification, assessment, monitoring, management, and mitigation of risks across the Bank. The role provides strategic risk oversight, supports informed decision-making, and ensures alignment with the Bank’s regulatory requirements and long-term business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of enterprise risk policies, frameworks, and procedures in line with CBN guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable CBN regulations, supervisory expectations, and risk management guidelines for Digital Banks.
- Coordinate periodic business monitoring and act as the primary liaison for enterprise risk matters by overseeing periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across all departments.
- Identify, assess, and aggregate risks across key risk categories, including Operational risk, Technology risk, Cyber risk, Compliance risk, Regulatory risk, Sustainability risk, Market risk, Liquidity risk, etc.
- Oversee the tracking and closure of regulatory and audit findings related to risk management.
- Support the Head Enterprise Risk Management in driving enterprise-wide risk awareness and training programs.
- Encourage proactive risk identification and transparent escalation across the organization.
- Deploy risk management tools such as Key Risk Indicators (KRI), loss data to track risk incidents, losses, near misses, and emerging risk trends.
- Ensure timely escalation of risk and its resolution in an appropriate manner.
- Maintain and continuously update the Bank’s enterprise risk register.
- Prepare the bank’s enterprise risk report for the Head of Enterprise Risk Management’s review.
