    Area Paygo Phone Supervisor

    About the role

    • The Area Paygo Phone Supervisor will drive phone sales and managing a network of commission-based agents within a defined territory.
    • This role includes recruiting, training, and supporting agents, expanding market reach, and ensuring strong sales and repayment performance.
    • Success requires strong field execution, deep local market insight, and the ability to translate strategy into tangible, on-the-ground results in a fast-paced, competitive device financing landscape.

    What you would be expected to do
    Agent Acquisition & Development:

    • Train agents and ensure they are certified (via Litmos)
    • Recruit agents, onboard and maintain a healthy number of agents.

    Sales & Productivity:

    • Ensure achievement of the monthly phone sales target.
    • Maintain consistent productivity levels, including total units sold and the number of active selling agents month over month. 

    Portfolio Collection Performance:

    • Ensure strong collection performance across all portfolios.
    • Minimize the First Payment Default (FPD) rate.
    • Reduce product repossessions and ensure proper procedures are followed when repossession is necessary.

    Agent Engagement & Support:

    •  Ensure agents consistently attend table meetings.
    • Confirm that agents maintain adequate phone inventory levels.
    • Enforce compliance with inventory management policies.
    • Ensure agents adhere to branding guidelines. 

    Requirements
    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • Possess an HND or B.Sc. in a Business or related field, with a minimum of one year of sales experience in the mobile phone or a similar industry.
    •  Demonstrate strong relationship-building and field execution skills.
    •  Have a solid understanding of local retail markets (both urban and rural).
    •  Be digitally literate, with basic knowledge of CRM and inventory management tools.

    After - Sales Support Executive

    About the role

    • Sun King is seeking a highly skilled and process-driven After-Sales Support Executive for Phones to lead our mobile phone after-sales support operations in Nigeria.
    • This role is critical for ensuring exceptional service delivery, managing the end-to-end process of returned devices, and driving process excellence through automation and training.
    • You will be the technical expert for our phone product line, improving efficiency, and ensuring sustainable practices in refurbishment and waste management.
    • This role is for you if you are passionate about technology, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

    What you would be expected to do
    Service Delivery & Technical Support:

    • Manage the end-to-end process for returned mobile devices, including initial diagnosis, quality control, and final disposition (repair, refurbish, replace, or recycle).
    • Ensure the timely and accurate resolution of warranty claims and service tickets, adhering
    • strictly to company policies.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of returned devices to identify root causes and reduce NTF (No Trouble Found) rates.

    Partner Training & Enablement:

    • Train and certify SSCs and partner staff on product knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, warranty policies, and replacement processes.
    •  Collaborate with the cross-functional team to design and deliver training programs for new products and after-sales initiatives.

    Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

    • Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all phone after-sales processes, from returns to waste management.
    • Manage process improvement and automation projects, and customer support portal enhancements.
    • Produce monthly warranty and replacement trend analysis reports to identify issues and drive proactive solutions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including troubleshooting guides, warranty policies, and partner status reports.

     Vendor & Sustainability Management:

    • Manage relationships with vendors for smartphone refurbishment and waste management, including contract negotiation and Terms of Engagement (TOE).
    • Ensure all waste management partners are certified and comply with environmental regulations and Sun King’s disposal policies.
    • Oversee the invoicing and payment process for vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    Reporting & Analytics:

    • Develop and maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround time, NTF rate, and partner performance.
    • Provide regular reports to the After-Sales Manager on operational performance, issues, and improvements.
    • Any other business as assigned by your supervisor.

    Requirements
    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • 5+ years of experience in a technical after-sales role, specifically within the mobile phone industry (with a handset manufacturer, service centre, or major retailer).
    • Strong expertise in mobile phone repair, troubleshooting, and quality control.

    Area Collections Executive (Reliever)

    About the role

    • We are looking for diligent and well organized team member to join our Risk department as an Area Collections Executive.
    • The Employee will drive the efforts and processes related to collections of our PAYG products in the field.
    • They will also give advice and suggestions on how to improve customer payments and satisfaction while ensuring that the company offer matches end-users expectations.

    What you would be expected to do

    • Assessing regional portfolio and repayment trends and laying down daily, weekly, and monthly strategies to drive better collection rates from delinquent customers.
    • Conducting market visits to confirm the quality of sales and obtain different insights from different areas to enhance strategic direction to mitigate situations of disabled lamps and repayments.
    • Providing weekly updates to Sales and Risk Management teams on-field interventions performed and results achieved, along with customer insights.
    • Designing, piloting, and operationalizing collection processes necessary for ensuring better repayments and customer satisfaction.
    • Working with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to repossess products from delinquent customers in cases where direct intervention is required.
    • Reporting any cases of product tampering observed in the field through the process and mechanism established by the Risk team.
    • Facilitating reporting and actions to be taken against those perpetrating fraudulent practices in the field, such as product tampering, misinformed sales done by FSEs, etc., as per the processes laid out by the Risk function.
    • Training Agents (Field Sales Executives) on dealing with repossessions and difficult customer collection issues.
    • Driving operating rhythm to follow up with Agents (Field Officers) to ensure they are completing their collection calls and repossession tasks on time.
    • Recruiting cash collection centers and setting up the critical collection area.

    You might be a strong candidate if you

    • Have Bachelor's Degree / Higher Diploma related to Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields.
    • Have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar position with field experience and also with rural customers settlements.
    • Are excited about working in the field to drive collections, resolving issues, and enhancing the customer experience.
    • Have strong experience from Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background on Credit Collections debt recovery preferable.

    Credit Manager

    About the role

    • The Phone Credit Manager - Nigeria position is a field based role under the Global Risk and Credit team in Nigeria.
    • The role holder will be accountable for overseeing and managing credit risk & other risks within the Paygo business.
    • This role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining robust credit risk controls and operational processes to strengthen/improve the portfolio health and compliance.

    What you would be expected to do
    Evaluate portfolio performance:

    • Identifying and classifying customers at risk of default through data interpretation and direct client interaction.
    • Identification of portfolio Reflags and timely reporting of the same
    • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of risk indicators and portfolio performance metrics.
    • Comprehend regional/Area trends, specific Product trends and proposing remedies to avert any negative trends.

    Audit & Compliance:

    • Conduct internal audits to identify process gaps and ensure compliance with existing policies- (Underwriting, Collection process, Welcome, Repossession process, Change of details etc )
    • Provide detailed findings with actionable risk mitigation recommendations.

    Collections Interventions:

    • Engage in proactive collection strategies i.e. ensuring KYC and Underwriting
    • strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of clients onboarded.
    • Generate, Define and implement field collection strategies through the field
    • teams to improve collections.
    • Review existing policies and their impact on portfolio management and recommend adjustments or updates based on the market trends or field findings.
    •  Ensure Optimization of Portfolio segmentation is achieved by assigning accounts from different buckets to specific users and propose segmentation changes where necessary.
    • Pilot Management: Ensure pilots in the field are well managed and tracked to meet the set success metrics by engaging the relevant stakeholders
    • Fraud management: Ensure investigations into reported fraud cases are done in a timely manner and cases closed within SLA.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive field reports including data collation, process documentation, and operational insights. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk indicators and portfolio performance metrics.
    • Perform industry research, evaluate information collected and propose changes that will improve the drive of Sun King from both sales and collections.

    You might be a strong candidate if you have

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in finance, Risk Management or a related business field, over 8 years related experience preferably in the Audit/Risk/Credit department with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Relevant certification in Credit Management or Data Interpretation /Statistics/Data/Computer Science is an added advantage.
    • Significant knowledge of data collection, field surveys.
    • Excellent planning, organisational and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Clear thinking/problem solving ability. Ability to spearhead/manage projects/process improvement within operations and drive positive change, being able to break down complex issues into simpler steps and resolve them.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written expression.
