    Weighbridge Operations Officer - Onne Port Terminal

    Location: Obajana, Kogi

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a skilled Weighbridge Operator to join our dynamic team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily operations in our Weighbridge. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Weigh incoming trucks at the entry/exit point, ensure accuracy of relevant details in the appropriate module, depending on the product to be weighed.
    • Provide a weigh-in Ticket indicating gross weight or offloading advice indicating net weight.
    • Receive Waybill from truck drivers, retain final copy of Waybill for further proceedings.
    • Provide daily reports of activities, highlighting unresolved issues for the attention of the Weighbridge Supervisor.
    • Perform any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
    • Direct traffic coming onto the site and operating the weighbridge.
    • Accurately record weights and complete appropriate documentation, and collect driver Identification.
    • Immediately report any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to sites to the appropriate manager.
    • Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately
    • Ensure weighbridge users are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.

    Requirements

    • BSc/HND in Logistics or related discipline.
    • A minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a similar role.
    • Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and quality specifications.
    • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing requirements.
    • Working knowledge of relevant supporting tools and technologies, such as MS Excel, Project management applications, etc.
