Carpenter Foreman at ROCAD Construction Limited

We are seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Carpenter Foreman (Construction Projects) to supervise all carpentry and formwork activities on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in formwork, structural carpentry, and finishing works, particularly in road, bridge, and culvert construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all carpentry and formwork operations on site
• Lead a team of carpenters in the construction of formwork for bridges, culverts, and road structures
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications
• Ensure accurate measurement, cutting, and assembly of materials
• Oversee installation of wooden and metal formwork for concrete structures
• Inspect and ensure quality workmanship in all carpentry tasks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site
• Plan daily work activities and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Identify and resolve technical or workmanship issues

Requirements:

• Minimum of Trade Test Certificate, OND, or HND in Carpentry, Building Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications or vocational training is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman in construction projects
• Strong experience in formwork carpentry for concrete works (bridges, culverts, roads)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction methods
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Must be willing to travel or relocate to project sites within Northern Nigeria
• Physically fit and capable of handling site work
• Good communication and organisational skills
