    Weighbridge Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Weighbridge Store Officer will be responsible for overseeing weighbridge operations and storekeeping activities to ensure efficient inventory management, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination of materials. 
    • The role involves maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound materials, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    Weighbridge Operations:

    • Operate and maintain the weighbridge system to ensure accurate weighing of raw materials, finished goods, and inbound/outbound shipments.
    • Verify weighbridge readings against documentation to prevent discrepancies.
    • Maintain detailed logs of weighbridge transactions for auditing purposes.

    Inventory & Store Management:

    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in accordance with company policies.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate inventory management systems.
    • Conduct periodic stock audits, ensuring alignment with physical and system records.
    • Track and report stock levels, ensuring timely procurement of required materials.
    • Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to optimize material movement.

    Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
    • Maintain detailed records of stock movements to support internal controls and audit functions.
    • Adhere to safety protocols in weighbridge and store operations.
    • Support regulatory compliance initiatives related to material handling and reporting.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: B.Sc ./ HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in weighbridge operations or storekeeping, preferably in a mining, manufacturing, or industrial setting.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and weighbridge systems.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
    • Commitment to safety and compliance.
