    Waitress

    Location: Ikotun, Lagos

    Key Responsibilities
    Customer Service:

    • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
    • Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and beverage items.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen/bar.
    • Serve food and drinks in accordance with service standards.
    • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly resolve complaints or escalate to supervisor.
    • Present the bill, process payments, and thank guests.

    Operational Duties:

    • Set up, clean, and organize tables, dining areas, and service stations before, during, and after shifts.
    • Assist in arranging tableware, linens, and condiments.
    • Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
    • Support colleagues during busy service periods to maintain smooth operations.

    Teamwork & Compliance:

    • Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and other service staff.
    • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
    • Adhere to hotel/restaurant policies, grooming standards, and code of conduct.
    • Participate in training sessions and contribute to continuous service improvement.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of SSCE/OND qualification (or equivalent).
    • Previous experience as a waitress or in customer service is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards preferred.
    • Attention to detail and professional appearance.
    • Basic numeracy for billing and cash handling.
    • Team player with strong work ethic.

    Key Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
