Role Description

Our client, a luxury hotel, is looking to recruit a Food Server with experience working in upscale restaurants. This is a full-time on-site role, located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Food Server will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the efficient delivery of food and beverages to customers. The Food Server will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, processing payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Description

• Suggestively sell beverages and menu items
• Responsible for having a strong food knowledge base, very detailed understanding, and memorization of the current menu items which include all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, food, and specials
• Attends the daily pre-shift meeting to learn any important daily information and any other scheduled staff meetings
• Complete all assigned pre-shift side duties in a timely manner
• Stocking, polishing silver, glass, and dishware, setting, bussing, and clearing tables, serving food and drinks, waiting tables
• Must have explicit knowledge of the menus and be able to make recommendations and answer questions regarding dish preparations
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experiences
• Keeps the chefs and managers informed of any issues that might affect the quality or timing of service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage service
• Experience in fine dining food service
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Certification in food service or related fields is a plus

SALARY: NGN 90,000
