    Volunteers

    Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator

    Duration: Flexible (Short-term or Long-term)

    Purpose of the Role:

    Volunteers at Sim Impacting Lives Foundation in Abuja play a vital role in supporting our various projects and initiatives. By dedicating their time, skills, and passion, volunteers contribute directly to improving the lives of vulnerable populations, fostering community engagement, and promoting sustainable development practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Support:

    • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development projects.
    • Support project activities such as workshops, training sessions, and community meetings.
    • Help with logistics coordination for events and field activities.

    Community Engagement:

    • Engage with beneficiaries and community members to understand their needs and aspirations.
    • Facilitate communication between the organization and local stakeholders.
    • Promote community participation and ownership in project activities.

    Advocacy and Outreach:

    • Assist in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about social issues and promote sustainable practices.
    • Participate in outreach activities to recruit beneficiaries and volunteers for programs.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Contribute to data collection, monitoring, and evaluation efforts.
    • Document project outcomes, success stories, and lessons learned.
    • Prepare reports and presentations as required.

    Administrative Support:

    • Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
    • Assist in maintaining volunteer and beneficiary databases.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Knowledge and strong interest in areas such as education, healthcare, MHPSS, WASH, Nutrition, GBV, Women and girl’s empowerment, Women sexual and reproductive health, environment, and livelihoods.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic internet research skills.
    • Passion for community development and social impact.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse perspectives.

    Preferred Skills (not required but beneficial):

    • Previous experience in volunteering, community service, or non-profit organizations.
