    Training Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and proactive Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry and a proven ability to develop workforce capabilities, improve employee performance, and support organizational goals through effective training programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the organization's learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Conduct training needs assessments across departments and identify skill gaps.
    • Design, deliver, and evaluate technical, operational, compliance, leadership, and soft skills training programs.
    • Develop onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
    • Coordinate internal and external training sessions, workshops, and certification programs.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, health, safety, quality, and regulatory training requirements.
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify competency development needs and succession planning initiatives.
    • Develop training manuals, learning materials, presentations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
    • Manage the training budget and maintain accurate training records and reports.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and employee development across the organization.
    • Support performance management initiatives through coaching and employee development programs.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in Learning and Development, with significant experience in the manufacturing industry.
    • Professional certification in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or Training (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, ATD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies.
    • Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) is an advantage.
    • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, operational excellence, quality management systems, and workplace safety standards.

    Person Specification:

    • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to influence, motivate, and engage employees at all organizational levels.
    • Results-driven with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Applicants must reside in Ikorodu or its environs to ensure ease of commuting and operational efficiency.
