Tax Accountant at Newedge Finance Limited

Job Description / Principal Accountabilities

• Compute and calculate all taxes, levies, and deductions such as WHT, VAT, PAYE, etc. and remit to the appropriate regulatory authority;
• Respond to tax and compliance queries from regulatory authorities;
• Ensure compliance with statutory monthly and annual filing due dates
• Review contracts, agreements, etc. to ensure they are tax compliant;
• Prepare tax reports, forecasts, and budgets with external tax advisors;
• Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and regulations impacting us;
• Coordinate with in-house tax team and external tax consultant and provide tax advice to new businesses;
• Collaborate with finance and tax colleagues around the world to enhance the Group's global tax compliance and planning.

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Law / other related fields with 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
• Analytical, strategic mindset with strong numerical skills
• Good MS office skills, especially MS Excel.
