    Talent Planning & Acquisition Lead

    Description

    • The Talent Planning & Acquisition Lead manages the end-to-end resourcing lifecycle, ensuring the organization consistently attracts, engages, and retains top talent specifically aligned with the dynamic demands of the oil and gas industry. This role drives robust resourcing strategies, sustains effective talent pipelines, leads industry-specific workforce planning initiatives, and ensures optimal talent allocation across technical, operational, and corporate functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute targeted resourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives within the oil and gas sector.
    • Lead industry-specific workforce planning and forecasting, ensuring readiness for evolving business and operational needs.
    • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through targeted sourcing, market intelligence, and relationship management, particularly within technical disciplines (engineering, geosciences, operations, HSE).
    • Partner closely with technical and operational stakeholders to translate specialized workforce requirements into actionable resourcing plans.
    • Optimize talent analytics dashboards and applicable HR technology
    • Implement cutting-edge assessment technologies for technical and behavioral competencies
    • Support employer branding initiatives across digital platforms and industry channels

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, talent planning and development, or resourcing, preferably within oil and gas, energy, or related heavy industry sectors.
    • Demonstrable experience sourcing technical and operational talent (e.g., engineers, geoscientists, technicians, HSE specialists).
    • Familiarity with industry-specific workforce standards, compliance requirements, and recruitment methodologies.
    • Experience using industry-standard Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and talent analytics tools.
    • Strategic thinker, skilled in aligning talent initiatives with oil and gas business priorities.
    • Data-driven decision making with strong analytical capabilities
    • Exceptional stakeholder management, capable of interfacing effectively with technical and operational leadership
