Store Inventory Officer at Garki Hospital Abuja (GHA)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a diligent and detail–oriented Store Inventory Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of our store’s inventory.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory control procedures to prevent stock outs and minimize losses.
• This role is crucial to ensuring operational efficiency and product availability for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control current inventory levels using inventory management system
• Receive, inspect and accurately record all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Track product movement between the warehouse, store and other units, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
• Generate regular inventory reports (e.g. stock levels, ageing analysis) for management to assess performance and identify trends
• Implement and improve effective inventory control procedures to optimize stock turnover and minimize waste
• Ensure the store area is kept clean, organised and wee arranged at all times
• Collaborate with the store head and procurement team to forecast demand patterns and determine optimal stock levels

Requirements

• Education: HND / BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Inventory control, store keeping or warehouse operations
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Inventory management software. Excellent analytical, organizational , and numeric skills with strong attention to details. Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast – paced environment
• A proactive approach to process improvement and problem -solving.
