Warehouse Assistant Officer at Iknorbert Communications Limited

A Warehouse Assistant Officer is responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.

The Warehouse Assistant Officer supports the Team and Head of Warehouse & Logistics in receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.        

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management:

• Daily stock-taking exercise
• Physical stock transfer to other branches on request
• Track, store, and organize products within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking. 

Order Fulfillment:

• Supply of customers’ purchase
• DCR scanning
• Confirm the quantity and quality of the goods being received from the clearing agent in the clearing agent's presence.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for supply in accordance with specifications.
• Ensure accuracy in labelling and packaging to minimize errors and enhance customer satisfaction. 

Shipping and Receiving:

• Handle incoming and outgoing transfers, ensuring the correct goods are received and dispatched.
• Proper arrangement of goods/stocks in line with requirements and established procedures for easy identification of goods and seamless supply of goods.
• Ensures that the warehouse appearance is clean and organized at all times
• Periodic rendition of the activities reports
• Other duties - Follow up on other duties that may be assigned by management.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles. 

Safety Compliance:

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. 

MANDATORY FOR CANDIDATES  

• Nearness to Ikeja, Opic/Ojodu Berger is an added advantage
• Daily stock taking- before COB each day.
• Daily confirmation of each sale before supply to the customer
• Immediate supply of the customer’s purchase upon receipt of the invoice from the Branch    Team 
• Daily on-the-spot DCR scanning of all goods upon arrival and dispatch 
• On-the-spot confirmation of goods being received from clearing agents
• Zero error rate of damaged goods and shortages daily
• Accurate shelving of stocks daily to meet established procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.Sc/HND in Warehouse Management/Supply Chain, Business Admin, or other related Certification
• Conversant with Accounting Software or other Warehouse Management Software 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment. 
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain an organized workspace. 
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments.
