Social Media and Web Content (WordPress) Expert at Kano Independent Research Centre Trust (KIRCT)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance research visibility and engagement
• Create engaging content showcasing research findings and events.
• Analyze engagement metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness.
• Collaborate with researchers to simplify complex data for social media platforms (e.g Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc).
• Manage online communities and address research-related inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication, Information and Communication Technology, Information Technology or related field.
• Certification in Media Relations is a plus.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in media relations, communications, or public relations.
• Proven success in managing media campaigns and media outreach.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop) and video editing (Adobe Premiere, CapCut).
• Ability to analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly

Skills:

• Strong communication, writing, and editing skills.
• Expertise in social media platforms, media monitoring tools, and digital marketing.
• Excellent networking and project management abilities.
• Design and update content on the KIRCT website, ensuring it aligns with social media efforts.
• Basic knowledge of web design (WordPress).
• Experience with graphic design tools and content management systems (CMS).
