    Site HR Officers

    Renumeration: 120k- 150k

    Industry:  Construction.

    JOB OBJECTIVES:

    The Site HR Officer is responsible for providing on-site HR support for the day-to-day management of human resources at the sites. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support Recruitment and deployment of site workers (skilled and unskilled labor).
    • Conduct site-level orientation and onboarding for new hires.
    • Verify documents and ensure proper employment documentation.
    • Collaborate with the site Admin to supervise daily attendance of workers using timesheets, registers, or biometric systems.
    • Report absenteeism, lateness, and overtime to the head, HR Operations.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for all site employees’ HR-related concerns.
    • Help resolve minor grievances and escalate serious issues to management.
    • Promote positive work culture and manage discipline in line with company policies
    • Ensure that all workers on-site adhere to health and safety standards.
    • Maintain updated records of contracts, IDs, certificates, and compliance documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company procedures.
    • Monitor and support workers' welfare (accommodation, health, etc.).
    • Coordinate site medicals or first aid support as needed.
    • Organize toolbox talks or safety inductions with HSE team.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR reports for management.
    • Assist with exit interviews and clearance for offboarding staff.
    • Maintain up-to-date employee files and databases.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
    • 2+ year’s experience in HR, preferably in a construction or project site environment is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HSE requirements.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good organizational and administrative abilities.
    • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
    • Ability to work under pressure and in remote project locations.

    Work Conditions:

    • Must be willing to work on-site (may include remote or rural project areas).
    • May be required to work extended hours or weekends depending on project timelines.
